Much has been said about blog commenting here on ActiveRain, but what about blog commenting out in the real world? I'm talking about commenting on blogs that are not on the ActiveRain platform. Do you comment on other blogs within your niche? Do you try to grab the attention of the big boys? Why would you want to? How can commenting on other blogs help you?
Commenting on high profile blogs outside of A|R can have a huge impact on your publicity, your search engine results, and
Keep Your Thinking Right and Your Business Will Be Right! Motivational Monday - 08:44 AM
"Keep your thinking right And your business will be right." Zig Ziglar
How do you keep your thinking right?
It's a little more involved than it sounds.
Not only do we need to think positively about our business and find the necessary tools to make the business wheels turn,
We need to think with right attitude toward our clients, our customers, our families, and ourselves.
That means that sometimes we have to take time out from thinking. Let those things rest and have fun or just look at beauty, or nature... let our
Let's Be Honest - Do Active Rain Points Matter To You? - 08:52 AM
Let's Be Honest - Do Active Rain Points Matter To You?I'll be honest - YES, They do.Why?At first, when I joined Active Rain, I did not realize what blogging could do for me... I had heard about it...but really didn't know what a blog was. I was in a dark box. I sure did not know what points earned on a real estate network called Active Rain could do for my business...that sounds a little fishy at first.
So didn't do much with membership.. it took a long while for me to catch on.Then when I caught on... it clicked.
Getting to Closing....Never Easy but Always Worth the Effort - 11:37 AM
It was the best of times, it was the worse of times, it was closing time! I was lucky to have 2 closings last week that actually closed.
One of my short sales that I have blogged about before closed. It was rescheduled several times due to buyer's lender not giving a clear to close. It finally closed but it was not easy. Up until the las minute the short sale approval letter was revised with last minute demands from the 1st lien holder that could have dismantled the whole deal. Without the hard facts and figures from monthly market closings

Big Deal - So You've Reached 200,000 ActiveRain Points
Big deal. You're darn right it's a big deal! Grateful just isn't a big enough word for the Internet coach I was so fortunate to have met and hired in September '08. It was clear that we needed a shift to ensure that our business would survive and thrive in 2009 and beyond. After many months under her expert guidance and instruction ... we are here today!
Perhaps you can relate to my journey. Long before I met my coach, I knew in the back of my mind that I should be blogging,

Making the Most of ActiveRain: A 6-Part Series for Newbies (Part 1)
Just Do It! Yes - Nike coined it, but I'm repeating it. The very first thing you need to learn about blogging on ActiveRain is that you just need to get started. Yes, it will be confusing. Yes, there's a lot to learn. Yes, you will probably stumble and occasionally fall. Yes, you will get back up, and you will keep blogging. But if you just do it and do it and do it again, sooner than later you will catch on and you will start to enjoy
The New You Is Up To You - 10:47 PM
In my unique way of seeing the world I have ALWAYS thought any of us could change ourselves and go a new direction at any point in time in our lives. Similar to inserting a new computer board in a machine, you could go from a meanie to a nice person. From bitter to sunny. From cold to caring. Likewise you could go to the dark side, from social to isolated. From family oriented to loner. Then there are some that never change. Are you a Rush Limbaugh, a Vanna White, or a Tony Robbins?
Do you want to change? A little?

What an incredible event at the Belk Store at the FORUM in Peachtree Corners. Members of the board dressed up as models and showed off latest fashions at the Belk.It was educational, funny, entertaining and a blast.

When I walked away I felt inspired, excited to do business in Johns Creek, GA.

Staging Homes - Big Pay Off in the Hollywood Riviera! - 08:08 PM
If you want a good pay-off, STAGE the property! It's so worth the extra time and money spent upfront. Basically, sellers that sell without staging - which includes everything from finishing little jobs that have gone undone (think handyman), painting (can mean adding color or subtracting color), bringing in furniture and accessories that are appropriate for the style of the house, and de-cluttering of personal items. Staging can cost some money and note that it's money well spent. Money that often brings in double what was spent if not more. Either the seller can do the work up front and reap the

SHOCK! Lenders make more money on foreclosures than short sales!? - 08:55 AM
Via Pacita Dimacali - e-PRO, SRES, CDPE, MBA East Bay, North CA real estate (Gallagher & Lindsey):
Lenders make more money on foreclosures than from short sales or loan modifications. That's what Steve Harney conveyed in a seminar. He caused an earthquake in San Francisco
When loan modifications are turned down, the next thing we attempt is a short sale. And we know that lenders turn over the short sale accounts to loan servicing companies who make our lives hell getting short sales approved. As such, we should know that these loan servicing companies make MORE money by letting the properties foreclose than

8 Myths of Staging to Sell - Busted. - 11:25 PM
It's so true that buyers cannot see through the clutter or decorations!
Via Donna Ross - Home Staging, Sydney, Australia (Great Impressions Real Estate Staging & Consulting - Sydney):
Home staging (or property styling as it's commonly known as on the Australian property scene) is really an art, not a science. One of the many things a professional home stager understands is that it's the house that's up for sale, not the home owner's bread baking ability or taste in music. So, from the sublime to the rediculous - here's 8 myths of staging to sell - busted!
1. Buyers can see past my

BUYERS: If you're still sitting on the fence waiting for the deal of the CENTURY... You're about to get left in the dust
I've noticed the past month, tons of activity in the Real Estate Market. At least in my Lake Arrowhead area of the San Bernardino Mountains in Southern CA. Now maybe we're a little different up here because this is a resort area, and MOST buyers are purchasing second homes. That said, I have been showing TONS of property lately and written (honestly, MANY offers) for people wanting a vacation home. This tells me that consumers that watch the "numbers,'
What's Really Behind Less Home Inventory? - 08:39 AM
There is no surprise across the nation that the inventory of the number of Atlanta homes for sale is down considerably. While many in real estate are rejoicing in the streets over this supposed sign of recovery, they are not allowing themselves to consider why this has really happened. It is not an anomaly, and it does not mean that the lack of inventory bodes well for the near future of Atlanta real estate. For those that are informed, there is an acknowledgement that Atlanta home buying patterns are being refined and will not return to what many in real estate
Does the Government and Tim Geithner Really Get It? - 10:49 AM
"Does the Government and Tim Geithner Really Get It?" I'm sure many of us ask ourselves this question on a pretty regular basis. Tim Geithner's name could easily be interchanged with many others, Greenspan, the presidents, the senators and congressman. What is really scary that in spite all their degrees and accolades they all seem to lack common sense. What we need is something to be fixed for real... so we all could enjoy peace of mind once more. Gee, wouldn't that be nice? It is sobering to think of the phrase, "Physician heal thyself," and then watch this video! Pretty
