Let's face it, life has become a bunch of abbreviations. In our personal lives, our business lives and on-line. Seems you can't get away without them. Or do w/o them.

Buying a home has many different aspects. As a REALTOR® my job begins when I first meet my buyers and LISTEN to what they are looking for. Ok, here we are. I am so ready to go into a nice Christmas break and time gathering my family all around me and like many things in life, right before you are about to take some time off, everything hits the fan! Chalk it up to Murphy's Law.

I consider myself fortunate that I started in real estate when I did, back about 6 or 7 years ago. There I was with a real estate license and had to figure out how to build a business. That was really about the time that the internet was becoming the prominat way for buyers to search for homes. Recognizing that, I made the decision to learn and concentrate in on internet marketing as a core part of my business. I read so much these days about Green I could get sick from hearing such nonsense. It really is not about the environment at all. It is about making money by being part of the ‘In crowd.' My own thought about the ‘Green movement' is that there is a lot of hypocrisy. Talk is cheap. "Not in my backyard" is probably what would really come about if anyone was really questioned on where they really stand on the environment.
None of us know the full story yet - only what we've read in the local paper. A Tulsa trucking company, Arrow Trucking, SHUT DOWN yesterday and sent office employees home with a cardboard box holding their belongings.
I remember an old song about some guy with a bucket that has a hole in it. I am afraid that the words escape me. But, regarding buckets, I can tell you that, when a home inspector sees a sink trap with a bucket under it, he or she looks pretty carefully.
Well, it's that time of year again... It's time for holiday parties and Christmas cards. It's really, as they say, "A wonderful time of the year". I really do love this time of year, driving around all the wonderfully decorated neighborhoods in the evening, seeing all the homes with the bright and colorful Christmas lights. It's a time of reflection on the year that has passed. It's also a time to see what worked and what didn't work with regard to your business and your personal life.
There is something huge that definitely separates committed sellers from interested sellers. You see, there are some that are just interested in seeing if they can sell their house for the price they want and do it all on their terms, and others that are completely committed. What am I talking about exactly? 
How Online Etiquette-Conscious are You? What's Your Online Etiquette IQ? No, this is not a test! Rather, just a few pointers that you should consider as we roll into 2010 and add more and more of the population to the internet & social media frenzy. 
We had this short sale for some time... and had it... and had it. Buyers were changing, but we were clinging to it... fought the sale... fought the first lender... nearly died on the second... then fought the second and fought the second... filed the complaint... were told "get lost"... fought back... GOT IT.
There are a lot of differing levels of commitment here at AR. Some come here to network, share knowledge, and simply put be that sponge everyone wanted us to be in grade school. The knowledge and information available here isn't something you can get at your weekly company meeting. This is largely due to the diverse group of real estate professionals on this site. Others are here simply to rack up points.
A stubborn seller is a gift that keeps on giving--marketing costs, unrealistic expectations, and unwanted aggravation, annoying phone calls and more. Often these stubborn sellers can be found behind listings that are about to expire.
I love Christmas and I love Tradition. I do not break routine easy. Here are some things that just stay the same:
Rates have moved above 5% again... how much buying power did you just lose? Buying power? What do you mean?Your Buying Power is about how much you can afford and at what price. The best buying power is when you can buy as much as you want for as little as you can.

Twas the nightmare 'for Christmas, when all through the house
Hmmm, "Home sales continue to surge" and rising interest rates. Sounds like the home buying opportunity train is fixing to pull out of the station.
Often times, we get caught up in the daily grind and hustle & bustle... Let's not forget to stop & smell the roses, count our blessings and remember what Christmas is all about! 
with lots of different lenders with short sale transactions...recently we had one who calls nearly every day...now there's a switch...we need not call them....they call us....She is on a mission. She begins evry daily conversation with "Not that it matters....I just need it for the file....." and proceeds with her daily quiz questions to which she already has the answers. Trying to put all the puzzle pieces together....even if they don't fit. Somehow she hopes......the sellers have lied and we may forget whatever story she thinks they manufactured and accidentally blurt out the truth. We did fall off the Christmas tree … (7 comments)
