Resolve Once In A Blue Moon To Be Your Best - 08:30 PM
OK, this new year is your chance. Once in a Blue Moon. Literally. Let astronomer Gary, another hat I wear clue you in.
Resolve Once In A Blue Moon To Be Your Best.
What is a blue moon? It is not blue, but two full moons in one month. Guess what? It is happening New Year's Eve. Full Moon December 2nd and December 31st.
Only happens on this date in this month every nineteen years so you will have to wait for 2028 for the next one lined up like this. Blue moons indicate typically something rare. You are rare. No … (26 comments)

A lot of owners who have their homes for sale in Piscataway & Sayreville New Jersey are taking advantage of the remodeling sales going on around the nation.  From tools and building supplies to the remodeling agencies themselves, they're finding they can save money.

Unfortunately, a lot of homeowners are also choosing to forego the legal building permit process, trying to further save money.

Life Stinks Sometimes . . . And This Past Year has been Really Tough for Many People!
I can't tell you how many people I've spoken with who are so down on life right now.  How sad it is!  But let's change this next year so that it's not so stinky!
What did Zig Ziglar say?
"Your attitude, not your aptitude, will determine your altitude".
How high do you want to fly in the New Year?
Sure, life is tough.  But now more than ever is the time to dig in and push forward to work towards achieving something worthwhile and … (0 comments)

10 tips to buy or sell real estate in 2010 | Valerie Fitzgerald | Beverly Hills & West L.A. Real Estate - 06:34 AM
Very good information. Thanks Valerie. Happy 2010 to you.
Via Valerie Fitzgerald | Beverly Hills & West L.A. Real Estate (Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage):

Entering 2010, many home sellers feel they’re mired in the winter of their discontent, but there are signs the real estate market is on the mend. Sales activity is up, homebuilders are finally moving inventory and values are rising slightly in many American cities. At year-end 2009, mortgage rates stood at historic lows, spurring a wave of new applications. But don’t be too jubilant. A recent report by Deutsche Bank estimates that by 2011, about 48 percent of all … (0 comments)

Party Like It's 1999.........Economic Update - 04:59 PM
As the sun gets ready to set on 2009, reflecting over the past decade’s economic habits could cause a hangover. Eleven years ago Brooksley Born, then the chairman of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, tried to sober up the financial markets by warning that credit derivatives, convoluted insurance against bad loans, should be regulated or a monetary calamity would be imminent. Two of the big boys that bullied her out of office were Alan Greenspan and Lawrence Summers. Mr. Summers, presently the chief whisper into President Obama’s ear, believed that bank’s discipline and honesty would prevail. Greenspan , the former Fed … (1 comments)

End of year decluttering of the subscription list. - 10:20 AM
I've seen a couple of posts in the last couple of days about decluttering so you can go into the New Year clean and lean. I tend to be a packrat so I really appreciate the tips.
With that in mind, I started looking at my blog subscription list. Without realizing it, that list can get a bit cluttered too. Of course the ones that filter to the top are still posting and I'm still reading and commenting.
As I scroll down though, the picture begins to change. Some haven't blogged in a month or two. Maybe they'll be back. You … (10 comments)

Crofton MD home inventory levels continue to decline - 04:36 PM
The Crofton MD real estate home inventory continues to shrink as of December 2009. The extension of the $8,000 first time home buyer tax credit seems to be fueling the reduction in inventory. Where's the Outcry? - 11:41 AM
I'll admit to not having seen a lot of news yet today other than a couple of hours this morning, but; where is the outcry asking or actually accusing Obama of letting this terrorist onto the plane bound for Detroit so that they could justify whatever they want to do next. Conspiracy theories have abounded since 9/11 accusing Bush of knowing what was going to happen and letting it happen so that he could justify his pre-emptive strategy in the war against terror. None of it has ever been proven that I'm aware of though.
Yet here we now know that … (22 comments)

Saving Slices Of Love When Your House Burns Down - 08:50 AM
This post provides some vital information/advice provided by my friend, Gary.

Via Gary Woltal - Associate Broker REALTOR® Dallas Ft. Worth (Keller Williams Realty):
Think quick. Your house is burning down. The family is safe outside. You have five minutes to run back inside and get anything you want. What do you save?
Most would save slices of love.
Snippets of time preserved in photographic form. An agent in our office actually had a house fire over Christmas so these things happen.
Your valuable photograph collection is very meaningful to you as the years go by and you see yourself and … (4 comments)

Your Lake Arrowhead Realtor would like to share some local Lake Arrowhead Information with you.
You can never be too safe when driving on mountain roads (well, any road); especially in the winter.  Our weather can change on a dime; one moment it may be clear and sunny, and the next snowy.  I've compiled a list of links to help you find out weather conditions, as well as road conditions.  It's a good idea to check these all times of year before heading up:

Plumbing Disasters #452- It's Always Something When You Own a House - 02:03 PM
Having owned 2 older homes previously, you would think that I had seen just about everything. I've owned homes with my husband in different states and areas of the country for over 30 years now. In fact, one of the main reason we bought a new home was that we didn't want to deal with PLUMBING problems anymore.
Well, the house is 8 years old now, and guess what?  Plumbing disaster #1 for this house.
Here is the issue-
Do you have a family member (probably a teenager or a daughter) that uses a lot of "product"?  It all has to … (6 comments)

You Can Lead A Maine Real Estate Buyer To Water....And One Of Those Times It Causes A Closing. - 08:03 AM
Maine land comes in all sizes, prices, locations. And like a diamond, precious jewel or people, every property is different. But besides views, long road frontage and fertile soil, valuable timber, waterfront is the real attraction for most. "Give me something on water...a Maine lake, river, stream." Or " What do you have on water...got anything on water, land on water."
The attraction to waterfront is like asking why do people enjoy fireplaces. In the case of fire, postive ions that are given off is credited with much of the attraction. I think staying warm, working with metal or … (5 comments)
