Good news

mobile.ecarmls.com
Well, if your cell phone has internet access, you can look up homes now right now on the go.
Go into your phone's web or internet option, and put in the address

MLS with all the normal functions, it will allow you to do most basic searches for any listing (of

Edmonton employment figures doing well - 10:44 PM
A lot of jobs in Alberta are seasonal so jumps in unemployment numbers in spring, more students looking for jobs, or dips in winter, oil sands job fluctuations, aren't really indicative of the province's economic health. In Edmonton some workers are getting laid off or hours reduced but skilled workers are still in incredible demand. In direct contradiction to higher unemployment numbers."We're hearing employers are having difficulty finding people," "The Shell Scottford construction is seeking over 1,000 tradespeople and Flint Energy is having difficulty finding 200 journeymen pipefitters." "the worst-hit areas in Alberta for job losses are the agriculture sector, wholesale and … (0 comments)

Every Home is a Mansion - 04:42 PM
My great-great aunt, Amelia Willis, married Edwin Tucker, the founding father of Eureka, Kansas, on August 15, 1863, just 4 years after each of them had arrived in Greenwood County.  Mr. Tucker, through hard work and investing properly, had become one of the wealthier men in town.  He built a sturdy two bedroom stone home in 1861, in preparation for the time he would get married and start a family.  They were the envy of everyone in town, and the stone house became known as the "mansion".  By today's standards, it would be considered barely habitable.  It had no running water … (0 comments)

Sacramento Open House Guide - searchable directory of open homes... - 10:32 PM
My clients frequently ask me how they can search for open houses in Sacramento. Well, I have created a open house search tool on my website! This feature pulls data directly out of MLS and allows you to search for Sacramento-area (and surrounding counties as well) agent open homes by area, price range, etc. Of course the agent holding the house open has to register the open house in MLS, so this will not catch every single open house, but the majority of them will be listed there. In addition to being able to search for open homes by whatever criteria … (0 comments)

A Very Cool Cake! Photo Taken by Lisa Hill, Daytona Beach Native. Please Take Time to Read the Blog Too! - 11:55 PM
It's that time again... time for a REALTOR® to show another aspect of their personality. So here I am, to throw my hat into the ring on yet another Speechless Sunday. And as usual, I'm unable to be "speechless" =P  But as I share this week's photo with you, as usual I will draw the line at any type of description, or discussion regarding the photo itself. But I want to preclude my photo with a little statement about my personal thoughts about photos and any type of art.
Most of the photos we see here on Wordless Wednesday and Speechless … (15 comments)

Liens, Judgements, Closings, Escrow... - 11:06 AM
Here is a great post from Danny !

Via Danny Thornton (R & D Management):
Most people in the real estate industry understand the importance of using a reputable title company. Many consumers however don't know what a title company actually does so they may also be unaware of why they are important. Liens, judgments, closings, escrow...these buzzwords that many consumers may have a passing knowledge of are very important when conducting a real estate transaction. Let's take a look at these four terms as examples of what a title company does and why it is important.
Liens and judgments are … (0 comments)

Twin Pick (Music Trivia Quiz) -- Pete Seeger and a #1 Pop Hit - 06:28 PM
I think that most of us, who remember Pete Seeger, think of him as a folk singer -- one of the best known of all the folk singers. He is in a category with Woody Guthrie and wrote and arranged some of the classic protest songs of a generation.
Seeger was also with a popular folk group known as The Weavers.

They were most famous for a song called "Goodnight Irene." However, one song that Seeger arranged, for the western audience, was a tune that had been recorded ten years previously by Mariam Makeba. The song had been in Zulu.
