Wells Fargo in Hot Water for Denied Loan Modifications.. I LOVE IT!! - 01:23 PM
 As reported in the New York Times, a homeowner in Pheonix, AZ, who tried to modify her loan through Wells Fargo was getting the run around... She was finally forced to file for bankruptcy to save her home. 
The bankruptcy judge, summoned Wells Home Mortgage Sr. Vice President Joseph Ohayon, to court to answer questions about Wells Fargo Loan modification practices... Apparently, the file was mismanaged and it was determined that Wells Fargo dropped the ball!!  Ohayon says that they could have improved on their customer service.... (a bit of an understatement )

I want to know how many agents are still.... - 02:25 PM
Advertising in real estate magazines or newspapers? I used to do the Real Estate Book for years, and then when the market started going quite a bit downhill, I got rid of the $500 a month bill for a full page monthly ad. The calls had long since dried up and I was wondering if all buyers were doing everything online now.
So who still advertises each and every month in real estate magazines and why do you keep at it? Which magazines are working for you and about how many deals a year do you realistically close from it?

Do you earn your commissions from QUALITY or QUANTITY? - 02:29 PM
I don't know about everyone else, but for most of my real estate career, it's been quantity over quality so to speak. I've been fortunate to earn six figures in Idaho of all places multiple years. But it was not due to selling huge tracts of land, ranches or mansions. It's been helping every family I can regardless of price range.
So it's been pretty rare to close anything over $300,000 in sales price. I practiced mainly in Canyon County which for the most part is 2 communities of about 90,000 and 40,000, plus the occaisional venture over to Boise where … (1 comments)

What do you do when your broker beats up an agent in your office? - 02:33 PM
Yes, this actually happened in my office, which of course will remain nameless. This was one of my earlier places I hung the license. This broker was a loose cannon to say the least, and after the cops came to get both sides of the story, what a mess.
From what I recall, no one was arrested, but punches were thrown, obscenities were screamed and luckily, I wasn't one of the agents who had a client in the office when it all went down. I would have probably left to a new office shortly thereafter as a few agents did.

The craziest listing you ever had, can anyone beat a CHICKEN COOP? - 04:25 PM
 
 
I know you are thinking that either I am lying, crazy or a combination of the 2, but I know for a fact, that a former chicken coop was listed on our MLS and possibly even sold at one time.
No, I was not the offending agent who took this listing. I have taken some pretty poor listings in my day including manufactured homes on rented lots (Never again!) but this one really took the cake.
