SOL + 55 South = YUMMY! - 11:44 AM
SOL (the Mexican Restaurant on Main Street in Franklin, TN) is currently being divided in half.  A new restaurant, the Cajun-themed 55 South, has joined SOL.  While originally slated to happen at the end of February, they are open NOW!

Just recently, I had the following statement come across my twitter page.  "Eating at 55 south. The new place on the corner of 4th and Main in downtown Franklin. It is the best food I have ever had in my life."
55 South offers daily oyster happy hour and features Louisiana favorites such as crawfish fiesta trio, Delta tamales, … (1 comments)

Battleground Brewery... - 11:58 AM
Battleground Brewery co-owners Fred Midermann and Fred Scheer.
Coming from CA, I'm thrilled to see new micro-breweries popping up in Middle TN.  But now I don't have far to go!
A Civil War-themed restaurant and brewery has opened on Bridge Street in downtown Franklin.  If you are unfamiliar with this part of town, the brewery is housed in the "old jail" which has housed Monell's (now located at and the former 108 Grill.
Battleground Brewery is the first phase of a plan to eventually have a franchise of brewpubs across the South where the Civil War was fought and a commercial brewery in Williamson … (2 comments)

Leipers Fork TN: Country Boy Restaurant - 12:58 PM
Country Boy Restaurant Owner (Shannon Martin on Left) and Chef April Cantrell.
A few months ago, Country Boy Restaurant, a Leipers Fork staple of 41 years, underwent a major change.  The new owners, Shannon and Charlie Martin, gutted it to the frames and made it what it should have always been - a charming neighborhood restaurant!  Located in the heart of Leipers Fork, the Country Boy is now somewhere I'm willing to eat (which, for this food snob is saying something!).  For the first time in a very long time, I'm again willing to eat there.  The Martin's re-did everything.  The exterior is now clean and updated.  … (2 comments)

"They Didn't Counter So I Overpaid" And Other Nonsensical Buyer Perceptions - 11:57 AM
Public perception is a funny thing. We elect naked Emperors, uphold Size Zero as a beauty standard and buy more than we can afford to pay because we think we can instantly turn a profit without breaking a sweat.
The things I hear from people are just baffling sometimes.
Here are some of my favorite consumer real estate perceptions:
"They didn't counter so I overpaid." Overheard in Trulia Voices this past week. Buyer felt she overpaid because the seller didn't counter. Upon (pro) inspecting the property, in addition to some valid habitability issues (such as roof) this buyer 'discovered' that the … (12 comments)

Cosmic Cow Pie...Connecting the Dots - Book Review - 01:02 PM

I LOVE this lady AND this book. Listened to it via CD cruising in my truck and enjoyed every minute of it. Carra 'GETS IT' (wink) and you will need to read the book to find out what that means! :)
AND, I LOVE AnnaBanana who wrote this awesome review!

Cosmic Cow Pie...Connecting the Dots - Book Review
Once upon a time an Arizona desert dweller was walking around wondering why Cosmic Cow Pies kept flying around her. Good grief no matter how hard she tired to get rid of them they kept showing up in her life. It … (6 comments)

I recently posted here re. some stunning Web site & blog statistics from three of my CyberStars(r) who presented a panel on site/blog success at our recent CyberStar(r) Summit.  You can see it here.
In the meantime, I tallied the results of the annual survey we do at our Summit.  Once question asked the following: "What is your estimated closed gross commission (c.g.i.) income from your Web sites/blogs alone in 2009?"
Here are the results:
Total Respondents: 53 Total c.g.i. reported from respondents: $8,168,299 Average c.g.i. reported: $154,119 Highest c.g.i. reported: $750,000 Lowest c.g.i. reported: $6,000 (market was in an extreme … (3 comments)

Crowds at Open Houses on Upper West Side of Manhattan Today! - 03:57 PM

Despite the rain, cold and dreary weather open houses were mobbed today on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. Buyers are out and buyers are buying. One pre-war 2 bedroom condo priced at $1,399,000 must have had about 40 people when I arrived with my buyers just 15 minutes after it opened.
About 30 people were at the 2 bedroom 2 bath apartments on the third floor of a post-war full service luxury building. One 2 bedroom condo that came on the market the beginning of the week at $1,150,00 that I showed Wednesday evening is already in contract … (5 comments)

Missing what I should no longer write about... - 01:15 AM
If asked, a year ago, I would have told the one posing the question that it's kind of boring writing about the Mortgage Game.  Making that read easy on the eyes is like asking Ron Jeremy to go easy on the thighs of a 'one-take' Diva trying to pay her way through College.
And here I sit.  I already graduated College and didn't have the luxury of a hairy beast of a man thrusting and sweating above me to pay my way.  For that, I must thank my parents.  It pays to save.
A lot of me always wanted to make … (18 comments)
