When looking at your stairway in your Long Island New York Home or NYC Apartment does it seem to be inviting? or a bit stagnant with the energy? This Hicksville NY home before any Feng Shui suggestions were made, had absolutely no decorations on the walls leading up to the second floor. The area felt very uneasy and lacked energy.

Georgia 400 toll - another 10 years! - 04:52 PM
In 2001 a toll was implemented on Georgia 400, a road that runs north of the city of Atlanta.  It was intended to offset the cost of construction and to be in effect for ONLY 10 years and that would be the end of it.  Ha!  You know that never happens.  Once the government gets a piece of your money they never like to let go and find some excuse to keep it going.  Well sometimes it's justified and sometimes it's just shenanigans.  Well, according to the GDOT, the phenomenal growth of this north-south corridor now requires the improvement of exits … (3 comments)

I was surprised when I read recently of this new development and wondered what it would mean to our schools.  In Fulton County we have  we have more schools with high SAT performance than any other system in Georgia. Steve Shatsky had a great featured post today.  It was basically about forcing change by not spending our money with companies that are doing things that we disagree with.  I'm all for voting with my dollars.  That's what the free market is all about.
It's always easy to protest and complain about some big bad company or some big bad government. But how do we handle it when we are in charge of hiring people?  What sort of employment conditions and benefits do we offer?

During my time on Active Rain several bloggers have passed away.  Some well known and some not so well known. So, when someone has passed on should be there be a disclaimer on their site that they aren't the one blogging and that they are no longer with us?  That way when a comment is left it is not left to them.
