Why didn’t my house sell? What to look at when you house didn’t sell the first time! - 07:43 PM
Todd Clark provides some very good advice for home sellers. Price the home correctly the first time and you will be much happier with the results. When sellers are too greedy, the listing gets stale and lower offers may be anticipated.

Great post about days off in the real estate career. Trust me, if we didn't like it, why would we work weekends and holidays,AND not to mention, drive people around BEFORE we get paid?

Buyer's or Sellers Remorse . . . When our work is Not Done - 03:33 PM

So, You Think You Want To Buy A Foreclosure? Think Again! - 03:54 PM
GREAT post!!! I have to explain this to all my newbies when we go looking too. I will say that i did recently get an FHA loan done on a foreclosure condo, but the conditions were a DOOSIE!!! It was tough with a tough agent and a tough loan officer and we got it done. The seller "freddie mac" was to be convinced to take the offer and they didn't want anything but a conventional buyer or cash!

This week I decided to start sharing it in the first of what will probably end up being a long series of blogs on local restaurants. First up, three places you may not know about.

Local Events-Just Another Facet of Hyper-Local Blogging - 08:22 AM
A few weeks ago the Active Rain team posted another hyper-local contest, this time focused on events.  Posting about events isn’t anything new for me.  My first event post on Active Rain was in May 2007.  Since then I’ve posted events ranging from the local church pancake breakfast to big events in DC like the Cherry Blossom Festival. Someone asked me at a recent conference if any of these posts ever led to a sale.   Honestly by themselves the answer is no.  However put them in together with other community posts and they become part of a bigger picture that become … (38 comments)

I heard it thru the grapevine. Actually, Facebook. - 02:36 PM
This isn't a gripe post.  Believe me...I've been there and done that this year.  More times than I had hoped to.  Still and all, this bears saying...
One of the things you learn as you grow up is to never assume, cause...you know..it makes as "a&@ out of u and me.  I try very hard in my profession not to make assumptions, because if there is one thing I have learned in 8 years in the biz is that anything and everything can go haywire, when you least expect it.  You know; things like 5 houses in escrow, and all the deals … (6 comments)
