Agents Owe Clients the Truth, Even if Clients Don't Want to Hear It - 11:50 PM
As my mom and dad liked to say, “Sometimes the truth hurts.” But it’s more important to know the truth so that people can make wise decisions. This is a reblog, and I always disable comments on reblogs. If you would like to leave a comment, click on the link below and leave your comment with the original author. Via Elizabeth Weintraub, Sacramento Short Sale Agent, Land Park, #00697006 Lyon RE (Lyon Real Estate #00697006): I was reading another agent's blog this morning about dealing with a screwball situation and unreasonable demands. I made the comment that the icky part of

The Week Ahead and Mortgage Market Commentary - 04:37 PM
Last Week: Mortgages and bonds traded in volatile fashion last week as anticipation grew ahead of the biggest week for the markets that we've seen all year. Interest rates climbed as the selloff grew in he beginning of the week on whispers that the Fed's QE2 would not be as impactful as originally thought. Talks of inflation early in the week also weighed on the fixed rate markets as talks of more easing will stimulate the economic growth and spur inflation growth. Mortgage rates and bonds climbed to pre-easing chatter levels early in the week. The S&P 500 settled essentially unchanged,

The Details of Lead Conversion - It's Not an 'All For One' Approach - 07:37 PM
So how exactly DO you reach the goal of converting a lead? In my last post, I said I would give you some tips and tricks. Actually, it's pretty basic. The 'tips and tricks' are in the follow up, not the strategy. Sometimes an oldie REALLY is a goody. Let's focus on buyers, since they are not in any hurry and can take such a long time to convert from Lead to Closing. In some markets, this process can take up to 6 months or more! Would you vote for this? - 10:59 PM
Change may come tomorrow as everyone heads to the poles. Two years ago we heard that the people voted for "change". Two years later we are voting for change again. Change is all over the place. The economy is changing. Facebook is changing the way we communicate. Cell phones have changed the way we exchange information and the speed by which we can do so. One thing is sure, no matter who wins the election tomorrow, things will change. The same holds true for the real estate market. It has changed. The way buyers buy homes has changed. The internet is

Buying Royal Oak Michigan Homes for Sale: Fixed or Adjustable-Rate Mortgages? - 04:46 PM
As soon as you decide to buy one of the Royal Oak Michigan homes for sale you’ll be looking at loans, if not before. You’ll see balloon loans, fixed-rate mortgages, adjustable-rate mortgages and a few others. Fixed and adjustable-rate mortgages are the most common, but why and what’s the difference? Having The Humor Advantage - Laugh Lots - It's Healthy! - 11:38 AM
Did you know that 20 seconds of belly laughter = 3 minutes of strenuous rowing. I love the quote from Bill Cosby "If you can find humor in anything, you can survive it." There was this wonder worth of material given by Yvonne Conte who was guest keynote speaker at our zone Coldwell Banker Fall Meeting for Westchester and Connecticut - titled HAVING THE HUMOR ADVANTAGE. I just got such a lift from laughing and wanted to share with everyone that laughter is really fun and matters and through humor we can restore positive thinking over negative thinking. Yipee! it just feels good to have that

Thinking about a short sale, but can't pay your homeowner's association dues? - 02:12 PM
Palmdale CA - Many people don't think they are eligible for a short sale because they have unpaid homeowner's association dues. Don't worry about paying them yourself. When you short sale your home the association dues will be paid by your lender. Discover how other sellers successfully did a short sale and request a free consultation by clicking here. A homeowner's association is a very small percentage of the overall short sale value. Lenders know that a short sale will net them substantially more money than a foreclosure.
