Freeport Maine Real Estate Update - October 2010 - 03:00 PM
 
Homes for Sale in Freeport Maine had a slow mont this past October. Freeport currently has an inventory of 86 homes. Out of this inventory only 3 home sales took place last month. This reflects a 67% decrease in transactions from October 2009 and a 40% decrease from just last month in September.  The average sales price for these Southern Maine homes in Freeport, Maine was 275K. This price represents an 11% decline from 2009 and a 24% decline from September 2010.  With these large changes in the numbers it does not seem that the Maine Coastal Real Estate market is going to … (1 comments)

"No that commute time is not realistic" - 07:45 AM
One of the areas that a new home buyer in Salt Lake City UT should concern themselves with is drive time.
How much time is spent driving back and forth to work.
James Downing posted an interesting article in his blog about the commute in Washington DC.
I was particularly interested is his advise to use google maps to estimate the commute, prior to actually doing a test drive.
Follow that advise if you like, but make the test drive in all kinds of traffic @ various rimes of the day.

Got Blood - Donate Today! - 11:53 AM
My friends husband was in the hospital last week.  He was feeling faint, had low energy and was pale.  He went to the hospital and his blood level was at 30% of normal levels.  He needed a blood transfusion.  He is fine now but this got me thinking that we never know when we are going to need blood.

So what are you thankful for? People oftentimes answer this question mentioning the typical things. They're thankful for their spouse (hopefully). They're thankful for their kids and grandkids (if they have any). They're thankful for their job (many are hurting in this area in our day). They're thankful for their health. And so on and so forth. Right?

A couple have been out doing a drive-by to look at another office's listing in a rural community in Choctaw County.  On their way back to town, taking a slightly different route, they see one of my signs.  So they stop.
