Stairway To Heaven - 11:27 AM
This is why it is a good idea to have new homes inspected. Not all contractors are the same and I have found many homes like this from the over building done in this area at the begining of the decade.

OK, I may be a Led Zeppelin fan and this post may not exactly be going to heaven, but it might just keep someone on this earth for a while longer!
One very useful, and potentially very dangerous, thing in our houses is the attic access ladder.
So why this post?

I'm Thankful For This Day - 08:33 AM
I'm Thankful For This Day!
I moved to Alabama from Detroit in August 1982 and what I remember most during those early years of my transition was Thanksgiving Day.
Every year for probably my first 6-8 years in Alabama, Thanksgiving was such a terrribly sad time for me.  Although I had and still have lots of family in Alabama, I really missed sharing Thanksgiving with my immediate family and the extended family that I shared the holiday with for the first 22 years of my life.
During those first few years here in Alabama, my Thanksgivings were filled with sadness and … (28 comments)

Real Estate Professionals With Chronic Illness - 09:25 AM
This is such a great post in support of those who work and laugh and help right through all of their most difficult days!    So many here have things quietly going on in their lives that they never speak about - just go about their business.....  Let's hope this will be a small outlet for those in need of knowledge that there are others around who support them every day in their endeavors!

Who do you know who struggles with chronic illness?  Maybe it's you, (or as it is with me, your spouse.)

Happy Thanksgiving to all of my friends at Active Rain!!!

I hope all of my friends, acquaintances, and soon to be friends at Active Rain all have a wonderful Thanksgiving today!    Even those sneaking a celebration in Canada!
It is a great time to be thankful for all we have - I have three great kids (albeit they are all on the West Coast and we are in CT), and a super wonderful husband who doesn't know any words but "kind," "gentle," generous," helpful," (these describe what he is every moment ..) -- - -   but yet he is one … (12 comments)

For What Am I Thankful this Year? - 06:34 PM
For What Am I Thankful this Year?

I feel so blessed for all that I have this year.

First and foremost, I have my family - my two boys, my husband, my siblings, my parents, nieces, nephews.  I really am so very fortunate in this area. My friends - I am blessed by some truly amazing friends, some of whom have been in my life for decades and some of have been around for far less.  To all of you, thank you for what you do for me. My growing business.  The first year after the bubble … (14 comments)

Design Trends for 2011 - 12:25 AM

Designology's Blog - http://designologysb.wordpress.com/

With our economy in the dumps what we are all wanting is to remember happier times. With that what you will most likely see as a leading design trend for 2011 are throw backs. Look for newer versions of 1940's design, Tudor to Elizabethan and some Tribal & Native American influences. Also animal and whimsical prints will be hanging around but beware of going overboard.
There will be a lot more mixing of old with new as people try to bring life back to their older. Also a lot more focus and use out of "grandma's antique … (9 comments)

Enjoy A Great Thanksgiving - 07:49 AM
I want to seize this moment to wish my wife of 42 years, all of my family, readers, clients and friends a very Happy Thanksgiving. I am reminded that I am truly blessed to be working with such wonderful clients and agents in Real Estate. I am also thankful for the privilege of working with such a great Real Estate Company, Classic Realty.
I hope you will take a moment, pause and reflect today on your many blessings. Don't forget to call home, if you live far from family. If you are blessed and can spend time with family, enjoy making … (3 comments)

Happy Thanksgiving - 11:02 AM
Wow, here we are, the end of the year, one of the most interesting I might add and today is Thanksgiving.
The temperature was -4 when we got up, clear, bright and beautiful with a fresh coat of snow glistening on the Pinon and Junipers.
As I reflect on the things I am Thankful for the list grows and grows. It has been a challenging Real Estate market in our small area, many Realtor's have dropped out we have even seen such well known companies like Century 21 close the doors, but yet my wife and I (the Zappa Team @ … (12 comments)
