Dan says it’s about pricing and sometimes when a seller stands in other comparable home they can make a better choice about the price of their home. To hear more about this fool proof technique to price a home, watch this week’s market update. … (0 comments)

Buffalo Theory (humor) - 11:50 AM
"Well, ya see, it's like this.  A heard of buffalo can only move as fast as the slowest buffalo.  And when the herd is hunted, it is the slowest and weakest buffalo at the back who are killed first.  This natural selection is good for the heard as a whole, because the general speed and health of the whole group keeps improving by the regular killing of the weakest members.  In much the same way, the human brain can only operate as fast as the slowest brain cells.  Excessive intake of alcohol, as we know, kills brain cells.  But naturally, it attacks … (0 comments)

Saugatuck, Mi Real Estate Foreclosure Activity - 03:07 PM
What is the status of foreclosures around Saugatuck, Mi?  Just checked the Allegan County News for the upcoming foreclosures and a couple more developers who have projects in Saugatuck Township are listed in the paper as in default and slated for  foreclosure.  I can only think of one remaining developer who is still standing.  These new defaults may open up building lots in great locations are firesale prices.
The number of foreclosures representing the real low hanging fruit - the subprime properties listing for under $100,000 are slowing down in Allegan County near Saugatuck and Douglas.  However, the more expensive homes are beginning to show … (0 comments)

To be or not to be mortified, embarrassed, you name it. Thankful Thursday, 4/29/10 - 03:57 PM
Have you ever had one of those days?  Tuesday morning was my one of those days.  The day started out full of hope and promise.  It was a sunny day, a little cool, but it's always so nice to show houses when the sun is out.  I was all dressed up with my new shoes on and looking pretty smart, if I do say so myself.  The clients were two women looking for a property that could be turned into a group home.  It promised to be an easy sale, and the investor I work with was actually doing the buying … (2 comments)

Hollywood Hills Real Estate Market Conditions - 09:48 PM
So what are you waiting for? The Los Angeles Real Estate market is cyclical. What goes up must come down but over the years there are certain areas that people are attracted to: ocean areas and hillside areas are the most popular. What better place to call home than the Hollywood Hills? What's the attraction? Finding yourself (after a long day) in the midst of nature. Tranquility and privacy. A woodsy cottage with trees surrounding you or a home perched on a hill with canyon views. There aren't many mega-cities where one can be minutes from the hustle and bustle of … (0 comments)

Open Houses: The good, the bad and the ugly - 09:56 PM
So you have decided to list your house for sale. The rumor is that open houses don't sell homes and that agents just like to have them because they attract more business from them. That may be true for some people, but with the current market being a buyer's market, and many top agents working with 10-20 buyers, an open house is a great way for buyers to see your home.  In Los Angeles, open houses are usually held on Sundays from 2pm to 5pm during daylight savings time and 1pm to 4pm the rest of the year. What better way for … (0 comments)

Big Announcement and Change in my Business and Life - 01:06 PM
Any of you that have ever attended one of my sessions know I am very big on contact management.  In my days before becoming a speaker I worked in Corporate America where at a very young age the importance of contact management was pounded into my head.  I remember the rolodex on my desk and the book of business cards.  I remember the stack of 3 x 5 cards in either a wood or plastic box.  Starting in 1995 I used Outlook to manage my contacts and one of the reasons I purchased my first Palm devices is because it talked … (0 comments)
