What do you think about Stevenson Ranch CA? - 12:01 PM
There are single family residences, Condo's and Town-homes.  Stevenson Ranch also has Foreclosures, Regular Sales and other types of sales, including the Short Sales.
But that is not all.  Stevenson Ranch is it's own city, contracting with the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department for their public safety.  The Los Angeles County Fire Department for their Fire and EMS services.  There are some of the best schools as well.
Today, in this "hard ecomony" it is difficult to find what is for sale and what is not.  It is also difficult to search for real estate without giving up the "ghost" with regard … (0 comments)

Last Century's Today... : ) - 02:10 PM

Today, May 18, is the 138th day of the year, leaving only 227 days left to complete our trip around the sun!!
A century ago (May 18, 1910), Halley's Comet passed visibly by the earth, brushing us with the tail of it's comet. This comet was named in honor of Edmund Halley who was able to use Newton's Laws to successfully predict the pattern of when the Comet would return.
The next time we will be graced with the glorious and awe-inspiring presence of Halley's Comet will be approximately in 2062... We only have to wait 52 more years for this … (1 comments)

Gulf Coast Oil Spill - 02:24 PM
The oil rig explosion of April 20Th is still expanding its grasp and inflicting its devastating wrath upon the Gulf Coast. Fishing has been closed off in over 19 percent of the Coast now. And as of May 4Th, the spill had reached the shores of Louisiana, traveling over 100 miles to get there.
There are many lives in danger, not just the human lives that have already been affected. The vegetation and animal life, both acquatic and land-based, are suffering immensely from this tragic spill. Thankfully, there have been many volunteers working hard to save and protect as much as they … (2 comments)

The Barefoot Bandit - 02:39 PM
As young children, we all dreamed about what we wanted to be when we grew up. I wonder how many children ever think, "When I grow up, I want to be a professional, renowned robber." I can't think of many, if any. But it seems that from a very young age, Colton Harris-Moore became adept at stealing and not getting caught. His interesting "career" choice began at the mere age of 12.
Fondly referred to by many as the Barefoot Bandit, Moore has made quite a name for himself and is known and rather feared by many in the US and … (5 comments)

The King of Country, that is!!Happy 58th Birthday to George Strait, one of the most talented country singers of all time. With 52 number one hit singles, he holds the record of any living country singer. Furthermore, the only country singer to have ever beaten this record was Conway Twitty.

Before his debut that catapulted him into the living legend that he is today, the King of Country served in the US Army. After that he enrolled and graduated … (3 comments)

Forbes Magazine names Jacksonville, NC No. 1 city in America to find a job - 02:49 PM
An article from www.jdnews.com recently reported that Jacksonville, NC is the No. 1 city in America to find a job, according to rankings released by Forbes magazine in late April, 2010.  This comes as no surprise to those who live in the Jacksonville, NC area. Residents have seen the area expand over the past few years. Despite the national recession, Jacksonville has stayed economically stable, thanks to the Marine Corps presence in and around Camp Lejeune, located in Jacksonville, NC.  The Marine Corps brings in tons of traffic with the relocation of military personnel, and offers a wide range of military contract jobs. Moreover, big companies like Boeing … (0 comments)

Reclaim you Privacy? WHY? - 06:28 PM
Facebook create a flurry of news with the release of their Open Graph.  But not so much in the way they intended.  Much of the news was in the new ways in which what you thought was private can now be seen by others.  “Facebook Privacy Concerns” are at an all time high right now.
I just saw on my Feed reader a few stories about a new Facebook Privacy Scanner.  It’s offered up by http://www.reclaimprivacy.org/.  They say…
This website provides an independent and open tool for scanning your Facebook privacy settings. The source code and its development will always remain open and transparent.
They are most likely a legit … (7 comments)

Think Before Buying a Condo - Consider Alternatives - 12:35 PM
Within the Ogden Valley (Eden, Huntsville and Liberty) housing market area, condominium complexes are used primarily for vacation, second home and short term rental purposes, most of this to support the local ski industry.
HOA fees for Moose Hollow, The Cascades, Wolf Lodge, Wolf Star and Lakeside condominium complexes are generally in the $240 - $300/month range.  Condo HOA fees went up significantly over the past several years because of huge increases in water, sewer, snow removal, insurance and maintenance expenses.  Assuming $250/month HOA fees and an interest rate of 6%, consider this: That $250/month spent on HOA fees is … (5 comments)

simply amazing.... how to kill a sale in 30 seconds - 10:34 PM
A client that I have been working with on a purchase recently found a property a week ago.
This client is working with a real estate agent that was highly recommended by a family friend - the seasoned mortgage and real estate pros out there can see where this is going huh?
This family friend of a real estate agent has questioned everything from the loan proposal to the interest rate to my credibility and experience in the mortgage business.... which by the way is approaching 20+ years...
This real estate agent has not been the easiest to work with however I have learned … (7 comments)

New Credit Check Policies June 1st! - 11:25 AM
Beginning June 1st, mortgage lenders are likely to order a second full credit screening immediately before closing. This report will be designed to find out whether the borrower has obtained, or even shopped for, new debt between the date of the loan application and the closing. If they have made applications for credit of any type - for furnishings and appliances for the new house, a car, a home equity line, a new credit card - the closing could be put on hold pending additional research by the lender. If borrowers have taken out new loans that are big enough to … (1 comments)

Club 500… Look Who’s Here...Wow! - 12:27 PM
Club 500… Look Who’s Here
I hit 500,000 points yesterday, wow… Can’t believe I did… I am wiping the sweat from the forehead, breathing heavily and gasping for air. I am afraid of the heights, feel a bit dizzy, clinch to the Olympus, looking around to see who’s got here before me.
I know that there is Todd Clark with his 1,017,744 points, but he is too high up the Olympus and there are clouds between us. I know that Lenn Harley, the shooting star, with her 979,246 points is close to him above the clouds, but it a steep climb there, visibility … (118 comments)

Rapid City Real Estate Market Stats - April 2010 - 06:02 PM
Real Estate Market Stats - April 2010

Spring time has finally hit.  With a late snow in May and cloudy and rainy days since, we have been looking for some warm sun!  This week looks to show us some warmer temps.  It needs to stay dry for more than one day so I can get my back deck painted!
Along with Spring came the buyers.  We started out the year with plenty of activity, but as we got into March and the tax credit started winding down, the fence started to empty.  The graphs below show the price ranges of … (0 comments)
