Paneling in your home? No one wants to look at it anymore! - 04:56 PM
Paneling in your home? I'm sorry for you   :-(   I really am.From a home sale perspective here in the Hoffman Estates area, it's the kiss of death for your home sale!  Buyers consider it an eyesoar and will refuse to deal with it.  So what should you do? Here's my thoughts from past marketing experience:
REMOVE IT DRYWALL OVER IT PAINT IT My personal preference is going to make you unhappy.  I recommend removing it and re-drywall the area with 1/4' drywall.  Basically think of it as a thin fresh coat over the ugly 60's paneling.  There might be glue residue and numerous … (30 comments)

Board Stupidity Alert! In our MLS we have rules & guidelines on virtual tours that prevent us from 'branding' the tour with our name, phone number or any mention of our company.  Thus, all tours will be about the property only, not about the Realtor©.  I think it's a good practice because most Realtors© will turn the virtual tour into a commercial about them!Yesterday one of my listings virtual tours was removed because of 'branding'.  No explanation, just pop it's gone & removed.  I called and they said that the tour was 'branded' and not allowed.Well, here's what the kicker is … (12 comments)

MRIS is, IMO, a great MLS system.
There is a big difference between owning a listing, which MRIS does not, and owning the published listing reportcontained in the MRIS display.
There is a big difference between owning a copyright of a photo and the limited copyright that brokers give to MRIS when an agent uploads their own photos. 
If agents what to own the copyright of the original photos contained in their MLS listing reports, all they have to do is take and upload their own and not wait for MRIS to send the MRIS photographer to shot and upload the photo.
