Got a client???????? Know a friend?????? Thinking of trying to "fudge" on the occupancy declaration when you're buying a home??????
Here on Active Brain we are fairly civil to one another, but on many other sites, (such as those that rhyme with Pillow, & Foolya as well as others), they seem to be a little bit of the Wild Wild West, with little, ineffective or no moderation at all.

Did you ever have that client who has saved almost every item they ever purchased? We all have experienced this in some form or another. I had a client whose parents passed away, so they became responsible for getting the house in shape to get on the market to sell quickly. As realtors, we are always under the microscope. Sellers and buyers want to know they are dealing with a straight shooter. Someone who has integrity and a good work ethic, as well as knowledge of the market and the ability to get the job done. I used to tell my Marines (back in the old Corps) that someone's true character was best tested when no one was looking. New Milford CT Real Estate, Losing Three Listings Is OK By Me. This past week I lost three listings after presenting my price. Am I mad? No, it's ok by me. Did I lose to another agent? Probably on one, but that is a horse of a different color. All three of the homes are in New Milford, CT. I met with the home owners of two of the homes and told them not to sell if they don't have to. Designations - Important to Maintain or Does Anyone Really Care?
I've been waiting for this one for awhile. With this post, I have crossed over the 100,000 point threshold in ActiveRain!
There have been numerous posts this week about the control of listing information and how it gets disseminated across the web. And it is all connected, I'm just not sure how it got to be this way. So much has changed since I was licensed in 2004...as a new agent, I was making fliers in Word and wishing I had enough money to get my listings on Realtor.com and in the newspaper. I was paying for print advertising in the throw away grocery store real estate books!
REALTORS baffle me. We put a lot of effort into portraying ourselves as professionals. We worry about this discount brokerage or that on line company. We tell our clients how important it is for them to use not only a licensed real estate agent but a REALTOR! There are a thousand reasons or more that we earn our commissions, every penny, yet in doing so we think that it is our job to save our clients money in everything else that a real estate transactions encompasses. There have been times (Oh this is one of them!) when we have gone through hard financial times as a family. Sometimes it is so hard you do not even want to look at the check book. But you have to look at the books and you have to get an idea of where you are so you know what you have to do. It is easy to procrastinate on taking the hard look so you do not have to deal with the problem, but then it only gets worse.
Who says you can never go home again? Yesterday, I had the pleasure of returning to Galludet University in NE Washington DC. The event was Rain Camp. Now Rain Camp is not a meteorological gathering. The attendees were not followers of Bob Ryan's golden shovel or Louie Allen's stick figure prognostications. Nope, this group was there for the wisdom shared by Bob Kinney, Bob Stewart and Brad (I don't know why there is an extra H) Andersohn.

One of the primary functions of a CRM is to be able to select a certain group of contacts with which to work.
