I suppose early on I … (21 comments)

What reputation have you built ? What do people say about you when you came back into their minds. You recall a near perfect relationship but that may not be the way you will be remembered.
Most people in business and in real estate in particular, don't realize that … (108 comments)

home borrowing - new application - 11:14 AM
i believe the graphic below shows the tax credits impact to the fullest. when you see that steep of a decline since the tax credits ended, it means only one thing. that the market was supported by the tax credit. the loan application  go back to a 1997 level, which when you think about does not say nice things about the rest of the year.

building permits and starts - 01:44 PM
Below are four graphs with the most current permit and start information. Two graphs are for single family activity only; two graphs are for all permits and starts which include multi family. As I review the information I believe the conclusion you can draw from the numbers is the new construction housing business is in a depression from which they have not even begun to achieve escape velocity. The new construction will not recover until the foreclosures are brought to market and sold and the additional factor of jobs being need to drop unemployment. Not temporary census jobs which have cooked … (0 comments)

BUYERS AGENT OR LISTING AGENT WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE? - 10:06 AM
Buyer's Agent or Listing Agent What is the difference?

As promised, I'm picking on yesterday's blog on whether or not one should choose a business mentor based on the two parties' social/political compatibility.
Yes, I think it's actually a pretty good idea, if you have strong leanings toward one side or the other. Not because politics will likely ever come into the conversations you have with your mentor. But the divide is wide enough between those on the medium-to-far right and those on the medium-to-far left to make a true connection between the two difficult or even impossible.
