Manhattan 2nd Quarter 2010 Corcoran Report has been released. The report is a quarterly examination of Manhattan's residential real estate market. This report utilizes market wide data based on deals that closed in the Second Quarter 2010 (April 1 through June 30) and compares it to closings that took place last quarter and during the same quarter one year ago. Closings usually occur eight to twelve weeks after a contract is signed (in a new development, the wait can be as long as two years); for that reason, the sales activity charted here trails actual market conditions.

The Lustron Home pictured IS NOT FOR SALE.   This is the house on E. Kanawha, I believe  it must be the "Surf Blue"  color.  The house is a prettier color in person...   On a list that shows Lustron Homes across the US, the color looks even further from the real thing.

The Doo Dah Parade - Columbus, OH The Doo Dah Parade is my favorite part of the 4th of July.  The Doo Dah Parade is on Sunday July 4, 2010 at 1:00 PM.  The rain date is usually the day before isn't it? You would not be out of place sitting on the side of the street from  11:00 AM... Who is in the Doo Dah Parade in Columbus?  Who ever... Martin County, Florida - Distressed Sales Decline - 07:06 PM
Martin County along with it's neighboring counties Saint Lucie and Palm Beach saw an improvement with a reduction in the number of distressed property sales in the ares as reported by RealtyTrac, a leading online marketplace for foreclosure properties. Distressed sales include short sales and foreclosures (bank owned properties).  Saint Lucie County saw a sharp drop in the number of distressed sales with 885 homes sold in the first quarter of 2010, which is just under a 21% decline from the 4th Quarter of 2009 and 12% below a year ago.  The average sales price of distressed properties were 27% below … (0 comments)

I don't think we can ask for a better weather forecast for the Jersey Shore this Holiday weekend. As we celebrate the 4th of July in New Jersey, we are looking at clear skies and highs in the 80s! Perfect beach and boardwalk weather. Get those grills ready and start soaking the sangria fruit because we are expecting a great weekend.
If you are looking for some great spots around the Jersey Shore this weekend to view some fireworks, two of the biggest are in Red Bank and Long Branch, part of my tri-cities area!

Update on Homebuyer Tax Credit - 03:40 PM
First-time homebuyers will have until Sept. 30 to close on their purchases and land an $8,000 tax credit under a bill passed by the Senate late Wednesday.
President Obama is expected to sign the bill, which was overwhelmingly approved by the House on Tuesday. The deadline had been June 30.
The bill doesn't help anyone currently shopping for a home. Buyers must have signed a contract by April 30 to qualify for the tax break. At issue is when the deal must be finalized.
