The climate here in Barrington IL has 4 very defined seasons. Winter can be long - as can summer. We swing from sub freezing temps in winter to 90's in summer. Spring and Autumn are much shorter. I Did It! I Am Number One on Google. Last week I wrote a post about being number two on Google and only having Homes.com to conquer. This weekend I had no clients. I finally had time to get some yard work and mulching done. I checked emails with my IPhone which I always carry in case I am needed as a broker - but the computer sat on my desk unused. Do you think taking your home off the market and trying again next year is a good idea? Here's some other opinions: Via Leslie Ebersole (Baird&Warner Real Estate): "We think maybe we should pull the house off the market and wait until next year...?" Many of our sellers are opening their weekly reports and wondering if waiting until next year would get them a higher price. Showing activity has dropped off and the number of price changes on hotsheets far outnumbers any new sales. "WHAT DO THE EXPERTS SAY?" What difference does it make what the "experts" say? Fact: If the home isn't on the market, it isn't going to sell. Fact: No one knows what the market will be like in 6 months. Fact: There are far too many variables that effect how, when and for how much a home will sell to base a listing decision on one or two variables. My feeling is any agent who really knows their market should have no problem discussing inaccuracies with buyers or sellers. Zillow even provides a link to an explanation of Zestimate® Values & Accuracy at the bottom of each page on their site. This post IS NOT about Zestimates®. It is about consumer traffic. Today we'll explore the components of that market -- REOs (bank owned homes), short sales, and regular sales. Overall we have about 3.5 months of Henderson real estate inventory. Taking a closer look reveals three distinct markets. Here are the current figures for Henderson REOs, Henderson short sales, and 'regular' Henderson home sales.

Former Georgia and NFL player Arthur James Marshall Jr. was sentenced to 69 months in prison for bank fraud related to an elaborate mortgage fraud scheme and was also ordered to pay more than $3.6 million restitution to his victims. It was reported in 2009 there was an execution of a search warrant by the Federal Bureau of Investigation on Marshall's former office building. He was a local high school football star who later played at the University of Georgia and thereafter spent five years in the National Football League.
