Benicia Parks Featuring Channing Circle Park - 06:50 PM
There is lovely park around the corner of where I live in Benicia, CA.  My twin daughters loved to walk there when they were young.  As they grew up they would take the local neighborhood kids they were babysitting for to this park.
Channing Circle Park has play equipment geared toward young children and play equipment for those more adventuresome.  In addition there is a wide grassy area perfect for running and catching balls or Frisbees.  If you get tired rest on the bench under a shade tree.
The part I love is the awesome view from the park toward Mt Tam … (1 comments)

Benicia Sold Real Estate Since January-What were they? - 08:37 PM
Statistics always interest me.  They are what they are.  Benicia is located about 35 miles from San Francisco in Solano County.  The news articles will often point out Solano County has been hit hard with foreclosures and distressed sellers.  This is a true fact.  However within Solano County there are some cities not so hard hit.  Benicia is one of them, a little slice of heaven along the Carquinez Straits.

As a buyer finding a conventional seller who can tell you about their home in the disclosures, are willing and proud to sell their home, anecdotally, we as Realtors--may say, not … (3 comments)

Spanking Your Way to an Online Legacy - 04:23 PM
ActiveRain has guidelines and when negative people start badgering others there are recourses.....like notifying our staff for advice or else just zap them if they continue; though warned.   We all tell our stories and give examples in hopes of getting a second opinion. It helps if not for just getting out of our own stinking thinking.
On other social networking sites we leave our status or write another post it note to let everyone know what's going on with our business or lives.
Or we just write plain nonsense so we can strike up a conversation with our "friends" or associates … (30 comments)

Midway KY Is A Point Midway Between Lexington And Frankfort KY
Last Thursday I got to re-visit Midway KY. It hadn't been in the plan earlier in the week but I received a voicemail from someone that was researching to do a real estate article on Midway. I think they had read what I wrote earlier posted on Localism. Midway, Kentucky is a Tourist's Secret! Shhhhhhhh!
Anyway, I was asked to contribute some quotes and a few pictures. I sure didn't need much of a reason to want to go back. That place is magical!

So...I asked one of my best friends … (4 comments)

Gulf Breeze Short Sales: How Wall Street Firms Got Rid of Their Risk on Risky Mortgages - 06:43 PM
Gulf Breeze, FL - Bear Stearns was a survivor. It survived the Great Depression without laying off any employees. It survived World War II, and 9/11. What killed it off during a time of peace and relative stability? Discover how other sellers successfully did a short sale and request a free consultation by clicking here. The problem was that it had engorged itself on risky mortgages. In my opinion, the Wall Street Firms were playing a risky game. They would buy a risky loan from the original lender. They would pay a premium because of the high interest rate on the … (0 comments)

Via Deborah Garvin California Mortgage Financing (Capital Empire Funding, a subsidiary of Gateway):
Many, many loan officers and banks post mortgage rates on a daily basis.  Many even have a nifty widget that enables the consumer to input a few general critera (loan amount, purpose, value, credit score...or, more likely:  "excellent, good, fair, poor" and, voila', up pops a rate and the consumer is compelled (?) to call to … (0 comments)

Tips on Selecting the Correct Warehouse for Your Staging Business - 11:12 PM
For those of you that have read my former posts on my warehouse:
Take a Peek At Our Warehouse
Take A Second Look At Our Warehouse

It is time for an update.  It is now almost 3 years later.  Our old "digs" were perfect for our needs at the time but we realized as we finished a record breaking 1st half of 2010 that it was time to move again! This article however is not about me and the many warehouse moves (5 in total) that we have made in 7 years.  It is more about the process of managed … (26 comments)

Duped or the Real Scoop - 11:36 AM
Danielle wrote a great blog about Nutella and of our perception of the things around us. I'd add on to say that sometimes 'ethical' marketing can educate and aid to making better informed decisions. Of course the flip side is that unethical marketing or marketing that simply dupes us with information that isn't true, can trick us into buying, using or supporting somethings that we normally wouldn't.

There is a real shift in client testimonials and word of mouth stories - and they're great, when they're true. We want to identify with folks like ourselves and generally trust our friends suggestions … (0 comments)

In Case You Missed This..... - 12:03 PM
Isn't August an amazing month? I hope that you're feeling as energized as I am. There is so much to do; festivals to attend, BBQs to have, lakes to swim in and great properties to invest in! As you know this month we take a little time off to reconnect with ourselves, our family and the great outdoors. I'll be doing a canoeing trip in the Rockies with a wonderful friend that Danielle and I traveled throughout India with 12 years ago. In addition to that, my Mom will be out visiting for a few weeks. But enough about me... What … (1 comments)

Claremont New Hampshire Residents come a waklen in Dog Feces with Me - 04:36 PM
Claremont New Hampshire Residents come a walken in Dog Feces with Me, come a walken in dog feces me, when residents of and out of town visitors to Claremont go to the City's Parks, folks and their children are steping and playing in all kinds of dog feces.

The dog feces in the City parks of Claemont has became such a major problem, that the City Officals and Parks and Recreation Officals are mighty feed up with all of it. The parks and recreation department has made a brechure to issue, to alert the Claremont residents of the … (10 comments)
