For the 30 days ending August 25, 2010 in the 3 nearest townships, there were 51 single family and twin homes that settled at an average price of $660,740. This is an improvement again this month in total homes sold since the previous month, somewhat surprising given the fact that the tax credit buyers are no longer in the numbers and the local media had reported a bad July. New Page 1 Pending Home Sales Surprise To The Upside The National Association of Realtors (NAR) reported today that July pending home sales surprised to the upside today, up 0.1% from June. The forecast had been for a 1% decline based on the end of the homebuyer tax credit and weaker employment. Even better, the increase was in all four every regions of the U.S.

So that bank-owned property you've been watching is going to auction, and you hope to snap it up at a bargain price. Not so fast! Negotiations may not be over even when you hear those magic words, "Going once, going twice, SOLD!" Whether the auction is on-site or online, unless the auction is ABSOLUTE, the "winning" bidder has not actually snagged a sale price.
Well, the end of Summer and with that comes the last weekend for many things to do in Huntsville, Alabama. 
We are a real estate company helping buyers and sellers with Kennewick homes, and we were ecstatic with Kiplinger's top 10 list of places to raise a family in the United States. Kennewick Washington is in that top 10 list out of potentially thousands of United States cities to pick from. Does not surprise us however. We moved here about 8 years ago from Southern California. It's Beverly Hills 90210 Day!
When you have more than one child, spending time with one of the kids and having each other's undivided attention is special. My youngest son is heading back to Colorado College in Colorado Springs and this year Elliot has a jeep to tool to the local ski areas. But sending him out by himself was not something I wanted to miss out on so on the road. In Cleveland Ohio tonight and planning to fly back Sunday after getting him settled in for another year of college.
Most of the articles we see about advantage and disadvantages of an FHA loan concern the low down payment, or higher qualifying ratios, or lower FICO scores. And there is discussion about the costs of mortgage insurance premiums. But rarely do we see very much written about some of the advantages of an FHA mortgage down the road. So since so much has been written about "getting" an FHA mortgage, I will skip that part, with one exception.
