Why can't I do that for my clients? - 11:43 AM
I bought a house in July 2010 for 168,140.00 and the house across the street sold for 250,000.00.  And I keep asking myself why can't I do that for my clients???  And it hit me like a ton of bricks...  I know my market!!!  I make my own decisions!!!!  I was going for the deal...  Another agent emailed the listing to me as we all do and I recognized the street name as one that I grew up near.  The neighborhood has always been wonderful with strong neighbor connections.  I went to look a the house and had an offer in an … (1 comments)

Strategies I use to stay active with the RAIN! - 12:43 PM
I found that I was really burnt out on blogging for while...  So I am setting new strategies so that I do not experience that again- life was also pretty busy...  which did not help... 
1.  Open the daily email and read items of interest.  You don't always have to comment but if there is tiem and oyu have somehting to contribute- by all means put in your 2 cents!

Buyers were more eager to get back in the game than sellers for the week ending January 15. There were 1,286 new properties added to the Twin Cities residential real estate market, down 22.9 percent compared to the same week last year. This marks the third consecutive week of year-over-year declines in seller activity after three consecutive weeks of year-over-year gains.There were 558 Pending Sales for the week, down a slight 2.3 percent from year-ago levels. Red Bank zoners held the first of what is expected to be a series of hearings on the details of a proposed 57-unit housing development on a neglected stretch of Monmouth Street Thursday night.

Demand was strong in the neighborhoods of Ponderosa and Country Fair in Pleasanton during the previous 6 months. There were a total of 11 closed sales during the second part of 2010, which is close to the 13 sales during the prior 6 month period. There are also 2 pending sales and 2 active listings. The homes in this area sell rather fast, with all but one closed sales staying on the market for an average of 33 days. Housing affordability set a new record in November. - 01:03 PM
Affordability  is bsed on the percentage of a median family's income required to make mortgage payments on a median-priced home.
The relationship between mortgage rates, home prices, and family income is the most favorable on record for buying. The home price-to-income ratio continues to remain well below the historical standard. Stabilizing home prices and rising interest rates are expected to begin drawing affordability back up toward more normal levels.
