What makes a good year? - 11:37 AM
How was my year this year?
I ask myself this question during the holidays every year. Did I hit my goals, I know I have them on a sticky note somewhere! Did I pass out 50 business cards a day?  Did I introduce myself to as many people as possible everyday?
Wow we will be in 2012 very soon. This year was pretty good for me over all. Not the best sales wise, not the best health wise, not the best economically, not the best in many other areas, but still pretty darn good.
I stopped drinking alcohol this year, I got … (5 comments)

Points, Points, Points - 02:04 PM
With all the talk about points, I’d like to share my thoughts.
P is for Purpose, Plan and Potential – My Purpose in joining Active Rain is two-fold. The first purpose is to grow my business (keep reading at least through N for the second purpose) in 2012. My Plan for 2012 includes establishing online marketing by utilizing Social Media. The Potential I see with Active Rain is beyond measure. I know what my plan and motivations are but everyone is different. What works best for one person may not work at all for someone else. They may also have totally … (14 comments)

Condos for college students down town Atlanta Cheap - 08:50 PM
My friend and realtor Audrey who is with Solid Source Realty told me that she was showing a property in the downtown Atlanta area that was selling for $19,000.  She confirmed that there are several 3/2 in that area for under $50,000 that are FHA eligible.
These properties can be financed with an FHA 203-k rennovation loan and are great for college students @ Georgia State, Georgia Tech, Morehouse, Spelman, Clark Atlanta University, Morris Brown.  Housing on campus is limited and expensive so this would be a great alternative.  The parents can co-sign with the student or purchase for them.  The FHA … (0 comments)

The new calendar - 10:06 AM
Hi all.....I have been noticing that the old buying seasons (prone to Spring weather and school calendars etc.) have increasingly blurred lines these past few years.  The current holiday season (previously considered a slower time of year for real estate) is now an extension of the recent late summer/early fall rush...a new development in and of itself to my mind.  No complaints here, just an observation that there are no clearly delineated seasons for customers.  I think that the 24 hour news cycle, coupled with the anywhere access to information has created a new generation of buyer/consumer.....always on and ready at … (0 comments)

Practice Makes...Success in Business? - 12:59 PM
Michael Jordan, Tiger Woods, Bill Gates, Michael Phelps, Donald Trump. All these names synonymous with success, fame, incredible skills and abilities, and the crazy amounts of money they make doing what they do. All of these personalities have something they are well-known for, something that they are extremely successful doing. These 5 guys just decided one day as adults that they would be awesome or they were just born awesome, right? Of course not!
Michael Jordan: Has been playing basketball since he was a young kid in his driveway before he even had an actual hoop to play with. One year in high school, Jordan … (4 comments)

THE REAL TRUTH ON MEDIA HYPE & SARASOTA FORECLOSURES - 12:57 PM
Just happened again today! Got a call from a client of mine who had just heard on the national news that "lots of foreclosures" are coming. So did I think prices were going to fall in Sarasota. (This client is looking for a 2 to 3 bedroom home with a pool for under $200,000).I told him what I tell all my clients - I don't have a crystal ball but I do know that foreclosures in Detroit, Las Vegas and anywhere else in the United States are not going to have an effect on Sarasota prices. Remember the old adage, … (0 comments)

Robert Cooper Boca Raton - 06:17 PM
Many people ask me why I moved my family down to Boca Raton Florida. They always said Robert Cooper, Boca Raton is not for you, you are a city guy and belong close to New York City. Well 22 years later, and two kids later, we are down here, and I tell everyone Robert Cooper is more then happy choosing Boca Raton as his home.
I hope to write more in the near future but just wanting to see how this site works first
