I still firmly believe that sometimes we have to be there for our clients. Whatever floats your boat and works for you is the most important thing.

Surrounded by his staff and accompanied by his wife Wendy, newly sworn in Congressman Rich Nugent cut the ribbon today at his new office and headquarters in Hernando County! 

The Greater Hernando County Chamber of Commerce orchestrated the ribbon cutting and a great crowd of onlookers and well wishers attended the event. 
Congressman Nugent is not a stranger to Hernando County as he has served as the County's Sheriff before being elected to become Congressman representing the 5th District of Florida in November 2010.

Judge Declares Health Care Law Unconstitutional - 08:31 AM

U.S. District Judge Roger Vinson has issued an order granting summary judgment and declaring the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act to be unconstitutional.
Judge Vinson, in the U.S. District Court in Pensacola, Fla., said in an opinion explaining the ruling that Congress has no authority under the Commerce Close to enforce the "minimum essential coverage provision" in the act, which would require individuals to buy health coverage.
The case is State of Florida et al. vs. United States Department of Health and Human Services et al., (Case Number 3:2010-cv-00091-RV)

SFpark: Smart Parking Meters in San Francisco's West Portal Ave - 08:01 PM
I just found out last week that West Portal Avenue on San Francisco's west side is one of San Francisco's SFpark pilot projects. SFMTA was closing off blocks of parking periodically to install parking sensors in each and every metered parking space. Makes you wonder what they're going to do with this information, doesn't it?

Well, the parking sensors are only part of the equation. Smart meters are the other part. In addition to coins, they can accept smart cards and credit cards. Maybe someday they'll even communicate with your smart phone!  But again this is only part of the … (1 comments)

As we were listening for the webinar to begin, today, I heard my name, along with Carol McDonald Macri come across my computer speakers.  I was pleasantly, surprised.  It was a Brian Buffini, Members Only, webinar.

Certifications Courses, Is It Where You Go To "Buy EGO" - 03:01 PM
I'm sure this will generate lots of strong opinions from all sides, and that's good.
First, let me say, I applaud and congratulate those agents investing their time and financial resources in attaining that extra level of knowledge and skill. Even I have gone the extra mile to get a certification.
It really is a place to go to "BUY EGO", and rather expensive at that. I love those courses that get you there in levels. You know, 300 to 400+ Dollars at a time. Sort of an educational PONZIE scheme.

I've been to dozens of Real Estate tradeshows in my day - however one event has eluded me.  I'm so excited to see and participate in KW Family Reunion 2011 in Anaheim CA.  However because I've never been - I need advice.
They say Family Reunion is the most amazing and yet most crazy real estate event ever. Top producing agents like New Jersey's Sue Adler and North Carolina's Ashley Wilson are there to share and learn and yet there are so many in attendance that it can be intimidating.
