Pay It Forward, Thank you to the Title Company - 05:55 AM
I had a closing today. I am chatting with the buyer's lender and we are discussing the real estate business in 2011 and what some will do to stir up business.I said I wish lenders would not come to my office each week wanting to chat with me, bringing me chocolates and presents. I am too busy for this.I told him all I want is for the lenders to take the application, meet the dates in the contract, give me a nice clean bank commitment by its due date, don't make me chase it and get us to the closing table. I get plenty of listing calls, most are referred or ask for me by name, but this one was unique because it was a result of all the work I have been doing on Active Rain. Oh boy Oh boy Oh boy. I started working and blogging on Active Rain in October, built my points up to over 100,000 (I did have a headstart, I was around 9000 when I got going). Just like the real estate buisness, hard work, diligence, use your noggin, read the blogs on Active Rain, apply the knowledge from what you you learn (15 comments)

Great news for the San Marino Area - 12:43 PM
To all my San Marino clients and friends, Here is some great news for our beautiful area! Housing crisis hasn't touched San Marino It's the Southland's only wealthy residential community with steadily rising home prices - in part because of its cachet among Asian buyers and investors.
With its wide tree-lined streets and stately mansions set on manicured lawns, San Marino has long boasted the best property values in the San Gabriel Valley. Now it has a new claim to fame: It's the Southland's only wealthy residential community that hasn't seen home values decline in the housing slump.San Marino recorded its (1 comments)
The Rule To Remember With Seller Disclosure - 02:19 PM
With filling out Seller's Disclosure forms by homeowners with it mandatory in many states and even having many forms to choose from many that own their house feel that revealing less is the right thing to do. Maybe a privacy issue or maybe trying to hide something I don't know. If you have a 5 page form and a 9 page form option, why do they want to do the five page one? Less work? The Rule To Remember With Seller Disclosure --- Disclose FULLY and early. You lose NOTHING by outlining to potential buyers the condition of the house, history (8 comments)
Super Bowl Site Or Frozen Tundra?? - 09:30 PM
Is THIS the Dallas area of North Texas today? Looks like a scene from maybe somewhere in New York. Like many of the central U.S. States the snow walloped a good cross section of the country with the white stuff and even parks and playgrounds took on a WHITE look to them even in the SOUTH. Super Bowl Site Or Frozen Tundra?? Well despite temps HERE going into the teens now by Super Bowl Sunday THEY SAY it will be in the 50's. So stay tuned or if you don't believe the forecasters check with Groundhog Punxsutawney Phil. Alternatively, CHECK OUT (21 comments)
Corporate Relocations, Coca Cola, Atlanta, Georgia and Corporate Headquarters! - 09:41 PM
Many large companies and corporations pride themselves on having Atlanta, Georgia as their headquarters. One of these corporation is Coca Cola Co. In Atlanta, Georgia - Coca Cola is starting the process of relocating up to 600 workers to its 35-acre complex on North Avenue. The transfers could come in waves during the next several years and reinvigorate the campus and the surrounding areas with an influx of new white-collar jobs. The relocations are linked to Coke's $13 billion acquisition of Coca Cola Enterprises, Inc.'s North American operations, a deal completed last October. They also coincide with Coke's $90 million modernization (2 comments)
Quote of the day about EXPERIENCE and SUCCESS! - 09:52 PM
"Experience, if it doesn't kill you, teaches you how to bounce back. Success is not so much achievement as achieving".There is one thing about getting OLDER especially in real estate that is GREAT.. it's the experience we gain by working with thousands of buyers, sellers, investors and real estateprofessionals from whom we gain knowledge and experince.Successful real estate professional always asks - "What can we do BETTER". We learn from our mistakes and we learn from every single individual we work with. Success in real estate can mean a single mom buying a home for her family on her own.Success in (3 comments)
I like you rBlog - Is This Kate? - 11:54 PM
I Like Your Blog - Is this Kate? Just yesterday I posted that I wasn't getting any leads from my blog posts on debt. I had begun to feel that the niche is so over saturated that I was wasting my time. At the same time, I've had this sneaking suspision that my blog is generating leads that aren't getting measured. Over the last two months there has been an unusual amount of local leads that other members of the office have picked up. Apparently, no one has mentioned my name, until today. My collegue answered the phone and spent (11 comments)
It Is Time To Buy? - Prices Near The 'Bottom' Say Economists - 09:02 AM
Yes, I know. We've been hearing inaccurate predictions about the Real Estate industry for, well, years. But this recent poll of economists seems to indicate that we're (finally!) near the bottom of the home value skid. Analyzing external influences like the homebuyer's tax credit and data from S & P's Case-Schiller Index, thirty three economists offered their views on housing prices. Most indicate that we're at a point where home prices are 'fairly valued', the report says. Fair values are important to buyers, especially first-time home buyers who are most often on tighter budgets and who are also looking at entry (0 comments)
***ROLL CALL***328 took the January Challenge: How many finished? - 09:59 PM
Like 327 other Rainers, I took the challenge, 31 Days of January - New Years Resolution. As I posted my 31st blog, I found myself wondering how many of my fellow pledges had sucessfully completed the challenge. I'd like to take roll. If you finished the challenge successfully, just place a comment on this post and add one to the count in the response above it. Very simple to do, and it won't take much time. "I took the challenge, and I completed it successfully. I am #000" Just copy and paste the comment, but be sure to change the number. (12 comments)

Are you looking for great walking trails in the Beaverton / Hillsboro area? Then look no further than Rock Creek Trail which is maintained by the Hillsboro Parks and Recreation Department. This park is amazing and everywhere we went we could hear the animals. We saw ducks, robins, blue jays, squirrels and we could hear geese and frogs. (Never saw them, but they were there) We even found a couple Geocaches in the park, so if you are in to that, then make sure you stop here. Now, we also discovered a couple offshoots of the main trail and we (7 comments)
Really, that is your statement about real estate and your business with your clients “If I’m not being sued, I must be doing something wrong”. Now I’m not big on calling anybody stupid or arrogant, but to me if you are treating your clients that way then how come you are still in the business. This was a quote from an agent that I’ve seen on the back of our real estate monthly publication where they print the names of those being fined by the state more times than I care to count. I’ve even had a run in (18 comments)
