I held a Broker Open yesterday. The open was a great success with over 30 Realtors coming through and providing feedback. This particular listing has been on the market for a while. We have been aggressive about lowering the price, making improvements, keeping it clean, neat and available. My sellers are extremely knowledgeable about the market and realistic about the market conditions. Yet, the home has not gone under contract. Charles Blumenkehl, managing partner of Blue Asset Management LLC, announced his fund has sold a multi family property it owned in Bergenfield, New Jersey. According to Blumenkehl, “We are pleased to have been able to take title to the property and within just a few weeks, through applying our value enhancement model, were able to sell the property at a substantial return to our investors while still providing the buyers with an outstanding value for competing property in the Bergenfield real estate market." Personal safety is a concern for many of us. Depending on our job we may put ourselves at a greater risk than the general population. There are many options to consider when defending oneself. Mace is an option that is easy to obtain, carry and use. I carried it around for years. Not that I thought it was a great defense but it was a little something extra.
For the third time in 3 years, I've had an office pulled right out from under me. The dreaded "mandatory" office meeting email was my sign this time around. 
There must be a few old car racing buffs out there. This was a remarkable bit of engineering that required nerves of steel to control and find the proper attitude while learning it's quirky behavior.
