Maryland Upper End Homes - 05:38 PM
Maryland is one of the wealthiest States in the Country, and despite this, we're not know for super expensive homes, like some other States. In a search of the MLS, 4 homes turned up that are listed for over $10 million.
The most expensive is an 11 bedroom, 11 bath house, nestled on a mere 3,134 acres on Maryland's Eastern Shore. Price tag on this one is $30 million. I would love to have a buyer for that one. Heck, I would love to have a buyer for any of them.
I'll throw it out here just for the heck of … (1 comments)

It's Time To Do the Happy... Er, Bacon Dance! - 06:46 PM
It's Time To Do the Happy...
Er, Bacon Dance! After a long day showing homes to a first time buyer here in the Raleigh/ Cary/ Apex area, and then taking pictures for a new listing (coming soon!), it's time to relax, and enjoy the rest of my Sunday. My bank owned land property is under contract, I'll be putting up over 1 million dollars worth of listings in the next few days, and I should be doing the Happy Dance right about now! But instead, I'll just do the Bacon Dance! The Bacon Dance!

So, You Work In Real Estate....Whoa, Is That A Broad Statement. - 10:00 AM
When you were a little boy or girl you dreamed about listing, marketing, selling real estate right? Wore out eight monopoly game boards. No? We're not talking about you? So how did you decide to pin on, wear the blue and gold "R"? Family member recruited you, believed in you? Or your dreams of a corner real estate office, being in upper management was more about teaching, motivating, recruiting others out in the property listing, selling trenches? Being good at motivating others to achieve success.
Your response of "I work in real estate" when you meet a stranger on a plane … (5 comments)

You Only Get A Glimpse Out Of The Corner Of Your Eye Of The Real Estate, But That Is All It Takes. - 11:18 AM
Just one look is how the song goes and the same applies to real estate. It all starts no matter how busy real estate buyers are with one sneak peek.
Coming at you out of the corner of your eye.
In a glimpse, flash your heart can pick up a lub dub or two.
You see a pretty lady on a side walk, a shiny car on a lot at 55 miles per hour and you are stung.
Grazed, hit, jarred in to attention. Whoa, look at that.Same phenomenon.
So on the lead in photo on your mls, real estate website that … (0 comments)

Can You Find the Silver Lining in the Current Real Estate Market? - 02:02 AM
I have recently been accused of being overly negative regarding the real estate market.  I have reflected on that statement and would say that may be true.  While there certainly is a lot to be negative about, there is a silver lining and that silver lining has been keeping me very busy and away from blogging for the last few months.
First of all, I do not claim to be an expert in any market other than Del Norte County, but in that regard, I definitely will make the claim that I am an expert.  To my knowledge, I am the only agent … (3 comments)

A Recycling Tip For Home Sellers - 10:52 PM
A recycling tip for home sellers. Recently, while doing a home staging consultation, I noticed a box that the home seller was using to put old electronic gadgets in.  She said she got them at Office Depot and you can fill them up with all of your old electronics.  The program is provided by Office Depot and is called "Tech Recycling Service".  How many of us have broken, used or outdated electronics we are holding on to?  This is a great solution for getting rid of them and in return knowing that they'll actually be used for something good like making aluminum, … (24 comments)

Step 1 - go to Picnik
Step 2 - On the home page, click on collage.

Step 3 - Choose the collage layout. In the image below, you'll see "basic" and premium:

For the purposes of this tutorial, I've used the 1st layout under basic. Note: You do not have to have a pro account to access any of the "basic" options.

Suicide in slow motion - 01:13 AM
Looking at the evening blog roll and ran into Michael Thornton's Into ActiveRain, Some Life Must Fall…, then Cindy «in Indy» Marchant-Fishers' OMG...I'm having withdrawal systems AR!
It is about another snafu, the «Service Unavailable», and the frustration of members. There is a side which is touching. Many of us do not even understand the level of attachment until we are faced with inability to post, or to comment, or to even log in.
Usually optimistic members then say that it is fine now and they hope it will be fine from now as the problem has been fixed.
Nope, problems … (26 comments)

Catching The Sun - 12:35 PM
Yesterday I had a funny experience, nothing dramatic, but something I did not have before. My clients are not avid Florida vacationers, and don't have a good idea of everything Florida, that so many northerners brag about. They are very interested in this gorgeous 3 bdr/3 baths 9th floor direct oceanfront unit in Bella Vista Condominiums in Daytona Beach Shores.
When I say that sunsets for me are more beautiful than sunrises, they are confused as they know since school years that sun does not «sink» into the Atlantic Ocean, so how can it be beautiful.
There are many reasons why I … (18 comments)

Can You Live In Condo-Hotel? You Better Not - 11:51 PM
3 months ago this couple bought a unit in a condo-hotel in Daytona Beach Shores. Why this one? Because they wanted to live in a condo-hotel and this particular one allows homesteading, which is a huge tax benefit for Florida property owners.
I told Jimmy that he should look for residential condos, and avoid condo-hotels, but my words were falling on deaf ears. He only smiled at me. He is smart, well educated, worked as engineer in the automotive industry. I think he got an early retirement and a severance package from them.
Now he wanted something inexpensive right on the ocean. … (2 comments)
