So they are predicting Hurricane Irene with touch land between the days of Saturday-Sunday.  Its been a while since Long Island has had a Hurricane, not missed at all.  Last couple of ones Ms. Cerrano remembers is Gloria and of course Hurricane Andrew…because she went camping in that one!

Hurricane Irene Expected to Reach into Central Massachusetts

 
August 26, 2011:  Hurricane season has begun, and it is starting with a fury.  Hurricane Irene is expected to make a grand entrance late this weekend, and if the weather forecasters are correct, she will wreak havoc in most of the east coast states.  In fact, the weather experts say that her winds and rains may be felt as far out as 200 miles from the eye of the storm.

Some Questions that We're Still Often Hearing about HUD Homes............... - 12:07 PM
Darcy and I are often surprised when a client asks us questions about what we thought was general knowledge.  We are guilty as are many agents who fail to realize that this isn't really something that interests many people unless they are looking to buy HUD homes.  This is something that I am trying to no longer take for granted that everyone knows what I know about real estate.

How Bank of America is Losing Money on Preapproved HAFA Short Sales - 10:14 AM
Great news about a Bank of America short sale this morning. Bank of America has directed AMS to use an expired BPO and to move forward on a file. I am ecstatic. This is a Preapproved HAFA short sale. The sellers received the preapproval letter dated June 1. We submitted the offer to Equator on June 15th. The entire HAFA file was uploaded and acknowledged by June 20th. Yet, here we sit. Today is August 26th.
The federal guidelines for HAFA that state banks must provide 10-day turnaround are worthless. It's not just this Bank of America short sale that this … (9 comments)

For those of you who have known me a long time, I just want to update you on my son's progress. For those of you who didn't know, well, the baby I introduced on my blog is almost 4 years old now.

The baby can now tell you he's NOT A BABY ANYMORE. I guess he's really not. But he'll always be my baby.

Many of you know that I'm a huge DAVE RAMSEY fan. In case you didn't know who Dave Ramsey was? Dave Ramsey is a talk show radio host, The Dave Ramsey show. Dave Ramsey had his fair share of real estate experience, made most of his money in real estate by the ripe age of 26, then lost it all when the banks called his notes due.
Dave Ramsey was a highly leveraged man at that point but regained his wealth through a much slower, solid pace. In his journey of finding his wealth again, he did it with no debt.

EDIT!!!  PUPPIES HAVE BEEN ADOPTED.. THEY HAVE A NEW PERMANENT HOME.. JUST IN THE NICK OF TIME!  Thanks to everyone who read and told someone etc.. about them. URGENT! These two little girls have played too rough with chickens and will be euthanized in the morning unless anyone has any ideas. They have gotten over scabies, been dewormed and  vaccinated and spayed. They are Sweet little lab mixes, very friendly, love attention and very playful.  If you know of anyone that can take the puppies, even on short term foster care... anything at all... Would you go grocery shopping if you didn't have any money? I would feel so foolish if I went into the grocery store, got a shopping cart, and starting looking through the aisles... gathering up food that I like, for buying consideration if I didn't have any money.  Maybe I had brought a friend along that I was going to ask her if I could borrow some money to buy the groceries AFTER I had picked out what I wanted to buy...but I had not asked her yet if she would lend me any money and nor did I know that … (194 comments)
