Sometimes they are. Some bank owned homes are in pristine condition. Sometimes. Most of the time they are rough. Often times they are not mortgageable. Often times once you pay cash (money that is not making money elsewhere) and then you put cash into the house to make it livable you end up with a nice house with the same amount of money into it as the regular or non distressed sale you passed up because it "cost more."

Let Your Voice Be Heard Get Out And Vote - 11:42 PM

Today was Primary Day here in Connecticut in a number of Cities and Towns throughout the State.  I have not heard what the turn out was in all the towns, but here in Middletown is was not very good.  The turn out was only 24.36% of the voters eligible to vote for our Primary, and that is extremely bad in my book.  The voters were given an opportunity to select the candidates to represent their political party in November. and they did not take advantage of it, this is very sad.

Rhinebeck Real Estate Market Review for August 2011 - 10:11 PM
Rhinebeck NY real estate market in August 2011 had 4 sales between the town and Village, that was one less sale than in August 2010.
 During the month 8 new properties came on the market in the town and 1 in the village.  These homes ranged in price from $155,900- $1,369,000.  The oldest house is one presently in contract. It was built in 1849 and is located on one of Rhinebeck's most scenic roads, River Road.
Besides the single family detached home sales, 1 townhouse sold in Rhinebeck for $323,000.

I'm pretty sure the website works. But, I'm still not getting my blogs posted.
I have some of my "favorite eating places" hyper-local blogs ready to go, but I can't get them posted.
I finally undserstand the value of posting my commercial listings online, but I only had one to get posted.
Another helpful AR member asked me why I wasn't using the "my new outside blog." I didn't understand that until now, either. I have it about half set up, but I haven't actually used it.
