Paying If Forward:  Killing Bugs! Christmas holidays don't always follow the expected agenda!  When visiting relatives we sometimes find that there's some place we can apply our unique skill sets to help our hosts.
In this case, the bugs weren't the typical creepy crawly things you find under a rock, but the creepy crawly things that go deep into a computer.  Yep, a nasty little hijack program that was swiping Google search results and taking the searches to shopping and information sites that had nothing to do with the actual search results.  And the desktop icons were gone and the C: … (17 comments)

New Year's Day Dinner - 06:19 PM

 
 
We have one tradition in our family, and that is that New Year's Day Dinner is stuffed lobster tail and twice baked potato.  I am not sure when we started it, but we have been doing it well over 20 years.  This is a special meal for us, but what truly makes it special is that we are all together to enjoy it.
I also enjoy stuffed shrimp so I usually throw in a couple on my plate, and of course an nice glass of white wine puts a very nice ending touch and an excellent dinner.

This time with celebrations of gaiety freshly cemented in our minds, we plough ahead.
This time, we carry with us, learned instruction - experience we resolve to use... THIS time.

Reflecting on 2011 | Moments in my life through photographs - 01:12 AM
So much occured in 2011, the good, bad and ugly.  I always take a few moments to reflect back on the year and it was only fitting I would do so through photos.
I love the outdoors, nature offer so much, the colors, water, flowers and sky.
At the same time we were faced with some harsh realities, a severe winter, a freak winter storm in October and of course the storm which flooded out many and left thousands in the dark for a long time.

A new year is a promise of a new beginning. 
We look back on what was but we cannot undo the things that have happened or that didn't go quite the way we had planned or wished for.   
Most of our New Year's resolutions spring from our reflections on the year past with the desire and the hope that we will improve our ways in some shape or form.

As 2011 comes to a close many look to make resolutions and set goals for the new year. Sadly, many of them will not make it past the 3rd week of January. 
What many fail to do is "emotionalize" their goals. I was one of them that never tied my goals to an emotion. If I failed to make goal deadline. I just marked it up to bad luck, or I did not feel like doing it anymore.

Happy New Year!
Well. its gone (2011) - Started out a little bumby, but I am satisfied with how it progressed. Foreclosures were definitley the game in 2011; however I see Short Sales coming to the forefront in 2012. This means some changes in marketing, but some savings in expenses.
Foreclosure expenses were not always reimbursed. Banks have a neat way of cutting off expense submission deadlines. This is called the cost of doing business.

Well, 2011 is in the history books.
2012 is here!  New year, new opportunities and with the coming election, we should have a nice spike to the economy!
The real estate market and the general state of the economy and job markets seem to have finally found some solid footing.  Hopefully, momentum will build throughout the year.
