Catawba Science Center Laser Shows Retro Rocks & Laser Vinyl - 07:48 PM
 
Catawba Science Center in Hickory will feature Friday night laser light shows on the planetarium dome.  Science After Dark presents Retro Rocks, featuring the popular laser shows Laser Vinyl and Laser Retro on April 6, 13, 20 and 28, 2012.
Laser Vinyl shows at 7 p.m. and features classic album rock with songs from AC/DC, KISS, Van Halen, Queen, Boston and more.  Laser Retro follows at 8:15 p.m. with 80s favorites from The Police, New Order, The Cure, Duran Duran and more.

Hickory Community Theatre Performing Arts Festival - 08:00 PM
 
The Hickory Community Theatre presents a  brand new Festival of the Performing Arts for its Firemen’s Kitchen cabaret theater April 21 through May 13, 2012. The Festival features musicians, actors, comedians and magicians. Most of the talent is local, with some artists of national reputation.
