Tell Me Something Good That Happened to You This Week! April 7, 2012 - 10:03 AM
The tradition has wavered and that's my fault.  Religiously I did post once a week, asking you to tell me something good that happened to you during the past week, just as always ask our children and grandchildren to relay at our weekly dinner what had happened to them, good, during the week.
Life got busy, I got busy (had a death in the family also) and AR activity has slipped considerably during the past year.  (I am currently number 4 on the AR leaderboard and then life changed... I currently do not post the maximum number of posts a week … (4 comments)

Short and simple - My A List is full of wonderful amazing people!

This morning I touched base with my A list, clients, friends and associates that are near and dear to my heart to wish them a Happy Easter and Happy Spring! It was a short and simple message!  And I am amazed that I have heard back from so many of them today. Normally I hear back from 10 to 15 or so when I send out emails to this special list. But today it's topping the charts....by a long shot! And it has warmed my heart to … (10 comments)

You Can't Fix Stupid Even With Duct Tape - 03:27 PM
As you go through life we all do some stupid things as part of growing but some people I think they are proud their middle name is stupid or something.
Never thinking things through or taking short cuts constantly or an addict for attention that the stupid stuff draws. With these I have concluded
You Can't Fix Stupid With Duct Tape.
Maybe when they mellow out at age 65 they will have a lick of sense. My point is when you encounter these types don't fight putting any more energy into "fixing them." You can't fix stupid. Stupid is as stupid … (19 comments)

It's Easter ~ I Have A Good Feeling - 08:52 PM
Since everyone that knows me well knows I always tell them that my Christian faith is the greatest gift I have been given and couple that with an ability to simplify things down to one sentence on this Easter I say
It's Easter ~ I Have A Good Feeling
Easter, with Christ risen, the empty tomb is ALL about conquering death.
It means the end for Him, for us, is NOT the end. Imagine a loved one or pet dying and such grief. BUT there is excitement past the hurt. You live again.
In the early days of the Apostles they … (10 comments)

Out with my camera today and came across some EGG-cellent photo opportunities - 08:28 AM
While at the gym I met my new work out partner, lucky for me he breaks easier than I do, but he does seem to be doing very well on his high protein diet.
Next up, as I was leaving the gym, which is near a Walmart, I noticed White Trash Egg coming out, dressed in the ever popular Sunday best for Walmart… in a ‘70’s tube top. (Shhh, I think she stuffs)

Then, while at a concert, once again there was a wardrobe malfunction with the EGG-hibitionist. It was sad to see, but like Janet at least she had … (29 comments)

Home for sale near Canby High School in Canby, Oregon - 04:43 PM

Now, one thing I love about the Canby High School website is that they list their students of the month right on their website for the whole world to see. (This gives them a chance to promote it to possible employers) I was student of the month a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away. (OK,  Tigard High, but I’m not giving up the year) As an student who was promoting myself and now as an employer, this is something I sure would look at if someone came to me looking for a job.

My Easter Dinner (1982) – And a look in to my sense of humor (A reblog for Karen Anne Stone) - 10:58 PM
In was Easter 1982, and my sense of humor went from normal 12 year old humor to a little bit twisted. My sisters, who I thought knew about this, didn't find out until this year.
But, my Grandfather on my Dad's side, who I miss very much, had a great sense of humor. He wore hearing aids and, from time to time, would turn them down to not have to hear Grandma...Our little secret.
But, he was a retired teacher and ran a small farm outside Portland. I loved going over there to see the sheep, peacocks, and other animals that were around … (21 comments)

Owner Financing Maine Land, Sellers Can Make A Nice Annuity Out Of A Property Sale. - 08:31 AM
Often the land in Maine we sell is owned for years by an out of state property seller who does not have a mortgage on it.
Does not need to replace the property acreage in Maine.
And because banks are geared for making Maine home loans, selling the mortgage they package on the secondary mortgage market for investors to buy in to, the land financing comes up short.
Takes a bank seat because land loans in Maine on property listings are not able to be peddled on the same secondary mortgage market where the best rates are.

“Thunder Your Butts Off” Gets Thunder Employee's Butt Fired? - 11:59 AM
According to ProBasketballTalk, a Thunder employee just got fired for publishing this video:Here at ShowMeOKC, we're HUGE fans of the Oklahoma City Thunder, and while this video may not be the most remarkable production we've seen, we can certainly appreciate the passion these guys showed in putting it together. So, why would the one guy get fired? Was it because they found it offensive? If so, someone's overly-sensitive. I'd assume it's simply because the Thunder organization is protecting their licensing rights, but can an employee not also be a die-hard fan? If this person wasn't employed by the Thunder, and hadn't … (0 comments)

Alien abductions of real estate agents on the rise... - 02:52 PM
It must be happening again. Alien abductions of Real Estate Agents.  I mean, that must be the reason some agents are no longer answering their phones or returning calls, right?
It's happened before...during the real estate boom years 2004-2007.  You remember those agents, don't you?  You submitted an offer on their listing and they would never answer their phones or return a call.  You called, texted, emailed and the silence was deafening.  Funny thing is...the mother ship must have released those agents because I've heard they've been seen around.  I guess the aliens didn't think much of them either.

Native American Realtors using Section 184 - 09:37 PM
Serve your Native American community and you serve our industry by expanding home ownership to enrolled Native American Tribal member's.  As a lender I am concerned that with the creation of the Section 184 loan program, that Native American and non native Realtor's don't seek out these new buyers. Designed solely for enrolled Native Americans, this program mirrors in many ways the FHA loan programs. It has some very unique provisions that save your buyers money, make credit qualifying easier, and Section 184 allows for renovation after the close of escrow.  Created in 1998 Section 184 serves more than 500 tribal nations with … (4 comments)
