Today was the Middlesex County Real Estate Council Annual Realtor Of The Year Luncheon.  At the Luncheon, Marilyn Phillips, of Sterling Realtors, received the Middlesex County Realtor of the Year Award.  I have know Marilyn for many years, even before I got into the Mortgage Business, one of Marilyn's grand daughters went to school with my old son, and was on the wrestling team with him.  Marilyn is a tough lady, and her grand daughter was also a tough young lady.  Marilyn had to be tough, because she raised 10 kids while selling Real Estate 40 years ago, that … (3 comments)

Wow, Can You Believe These Prices?? - 09:46 AM
How long do people think they can wait this out?
Interest rates are down, prices are down, inventory is up...BUT it can't stay this way forever.  When rates go up, people will lose their buying power.
Do they understand this or are they just afraid to take the risk now?
Many lenders are in a situation making it even harder to lend money!  Banks are very picky these days...imagine that!  Maybe they should have been this way all along.
If you think you are in a position to buy, CHECK INTO IT!!

Phoenix ranked #2 for new move destination - 12:05 PM
Yahoo Real estate had an article a couple days ago listing Phoenix as the 2nd most moved to city in the US during the 1st quarter.  See the link for the article. http://realestate.yahoo.com/promo/where-americans-are-moving-this-year.html
Before all the craziness in the market and the recession, Phoenix was a prime destination that experienced steady growth for years.  People came here for many reasons, including the climate.  Those reasons haven't changed, only the economy did.  So, as the recovery stumbles along, we will see people coming here again for the same reasons they did before.

Pumpkin patch in Lawrence, KS!  There are many pumpkin patches around the Kansas City area.  One of my family's favorites is the Schaake's Pumpkin Patch at 1791 North 1500 Road in Lawrence, Kansas.  
Schaake's Pumpkin Patch in Lawrence, Kansas is free to visit.  There are no admission charges.  They offer free tractor pulled rides out into the pumpkin patch.  Schaake's has a nice variety of pumpkins from tiny jack-o-lanterns up to the mamothly huge sized pumpkins!  Check out the photo to the right for some of the varieties Schaake's carried last year. While Foreclosures Homes For Sale and Short Sale Properties For Sale is a list of foreclosed or short sale properties from the Kansas City MLS, but there are 3 MLS's that serve this Lawrence, Kansas area.  The other two MLS's are the Lawrence Board of Realtors MLS and the Topeka MLS.
These lists are usually hard to find but thanks to agents like Rob Lang who use IDX indexed searches, they are getting much easier.
