Expectations vs. Reality!!! Yesterday, my daughter Laura celebrated her 17th birthday! And, as is typical with us, we decided to celebrate her special day in a "not so traditional" manner! No birthday cards. No pizza party. No birthday hats. Nope. That's not how we roll!
But, we did decide to make our own "cake".

When Small Acts Reap Big Rewards! - 05:22 AM
I took a call today that got me thinking. The call wasn't particularly unusual. One of my clients has been in a rental for about 2 years and wanted to begin the process to buy a house. Of course, we all want those calls, but it is the train of events that led to this call that makes this call very special. One day in 2005, I was headed out the door to run some work-related errands. Bass Pro Shop Is Coming To Little Rock! - 10:34 AM
Bass Pro Shop is coming to Little Rock. They have committed to 30 acres at the northwest corner of I 430 S. and I 30. This will bring a boon to this area. They plan to build a 120,000 sq. ft. store. This is huge news for Little Rock and especially the southwest area of Little Rock and the Benton/Bryant areas. Construction is expected to begin in Oct., 2012 with completion approx. one year later.

Do you coordinate your showings? - 07:43 PM
As an agent, do you coordinate your showing? I ask this because today I was showing properties and had a little situation that left my customer feeling awkward. I called to ask to show the property between 2-4pm today. When the showing was confirmed, I was advised that the seller would prefer it if we would arrive between 2-3:30, preferably the earlier the better. Since school has just started, I assumed this would be to be gone before they arrived home.

Caroline County's annual Summerfest starts today at 5 PM in Denton, Maryland.  Todays activities run from 5 PM to 10 PM and tomorrow from 12 PM to 9 PM.  Rain date is Sunday.  Come on out and have a good time . . . lots of food, vendors, fun activities and games for kids, and entertainment for all.

Hudson Valley RibFest- August 18 & 19, 2012 - 11:55 AM
RIBFEST! It is time for a Rib Throw Down!
This Saturday and Sunday August 18th and 19th at the Ulster County Farirgrounds on Libertyville Road in New Paltz NY will be the site of the annual Hudson Valley Ribfest. 50 teams of competitors will fire up their cookers and compete for prizes and money.

Marinate your steak. Pour marinade of your choice in large plastic zip bag, add your steak and refrigerate. It's best to let it sit for 6 - 24 hours, but even a 1 hour marinade can make a difference in taste. You don't have to pay for an expensive marinade, it's simple to make your own. You can use beer, a bit of Worcestershire sauce, garlic and black pepper for an inexpensive alternative.

This is the beautiful place you don't want to miss out on visiting this summer, should you come to Payson, Arizona. This is Fossil Creek Springs. It's about 15 miles East from Payson to get to Fossil Creek Rd., and then after that, you drive down a dirt road for about 15 miles. You will drive out in the middle of nowhere it seems like with nothing but Rock and Mountains, very desolate, like a Road that leads to nowhere. This drink calls for a nice, refreshing breakfast to start the day! Delish...
1 banana 1 cup frozen strawberries 1 cup frozen blueberries 1 cup frozen cherries 4 ice cubes 1/2 cup orange juice 3/4 cup vanilla yogurt 1/2 teaspoon honey Put the banana, strawberries, blueberries, cherries, and ice cubes into a blender. Add in the orange juice, vanilla yogurt, and honey. Blend until smooth. HELP: Should I Buy the IPad or the New Galaxy Tablet? - 07:45 AM
I am in the market for a tablet.
My friend...Denver Realtor Kerry Klun just bought an IPad and I was all set to do the same. She called me yesterday...letting me know she has had second thoughts about the purchase after doing some research and talking to experts (including those at her local Verizon store).
Obviously I do realize that if I choose to go with the IPad I will have a learning curve (I have used PC's for years) that I will not have with the Galaxy...but this is not enough of a reason for me if the system or … (8 comments)
