Illinois announces there are 22.3% less Realtors® throughout the state! But is that a good thing?  Was this 4 year process really going to be good for consumers or just a giant revenue generator for the State of IL? The IDFPR kept saying that extra training was really the effort in this entire 4 year process for license escalation.  In IL now, all agents must be brokers or transition to managing broker status with this last license renewal.

I'm Sitting Here Laughing Out Loud!!
Mike can't imagine not having access to the MLS online.  HA!  I remember when the "high technology" access to listings was by a modum telephone connection where the phone sat on the unit.  When entering the listing it took about 45 minutes and the likelihood of being disconnected after 43 minutes (couldn't save) was quite likely.
There was one good feature though.  We didn't have to put up with electronic key boxes.  We had actual METAL KEYS.  Never failed.

CROSSING OVER THAT FINE LINE - 03:08 PM
Stepping over the line is far too easy for real estate agents.
Buyers and sellers generally believe that:
We know everything there is to know about home sales, construction, financing, etc.
OR
We know nothing about home sales, construction, financing, etc.
Sally wrote:
"If you are not a licensed contractor, you cannot tell a buyer that the home is not structurally sound." Seems to me that If you are not a licensed contract you should NOT be telling a buyer that the home IS structurally sound.
It's a tough job but someone has to do it.

There were 826 home sales in southwest Las Vegas in June 2012 with a median price of $144,995 (up $2,995 from May). Of those, 677 were single-family homes with a median price of $160,000 -- an improvement of over $5,000. Sales activity for single-family homes in southwest Las Vegas is down 18.1% from one year ago; however, the median price is up 11.1% from $144,400 to $160,000.
