Do you only think about needing an attorney if you are sued, or if you sue others?  Or possibly if you get a traffic ticket?  If these are the big things you think about as the only use of an attorney, think about this quote I just heard recently:  "Using an attorney is to better your outcome in any given situation."

It is probably safe to say, most of us shred our bank and credit card statements.  We are careful about who we give our credit card, drivers license, social security, birthday information to, and expect that is protected by them.  Right?  But what about that department store that you swipe your card to purchase your items?  The drug store?  Your doctors office? HURRICANE WARNING: Please hire public adjuster - 08/18/08 03:00 PM
If you sustain damages, hire a Public Adjuster I cannot stress this enough, as a victim of Hurricane Charley, I learned the hard way, if you sustain ANY damages from the upcoming storm, immediately call your insurance carrier if possible, as soon as possible, but also HIRE A PUBLIC ADJUSTER!!   If you do not live in the effected area, but you know someone that is, tell them to immediately hire an adjuster, if they need a reference, I will be more than glad to give one, but would suggest a local one to the effected area.  Make sure they do NOT hesitate!  … (11 comments)

Near SW FL Notaries another Park: Sunrise Park, Port Charlotte FL - 08/11/08 09:21 PM

At 20499 Edgewater Drive, not far from Spring Lake Park, there is another great park.  It is near Port Charlotte Blvd, and Grassy Point Estates.  It has a canoe/kayak launch, as well as tennis courts and walking trail, fishing pier and restrooms.  It is one of Port Charlotte's newer parks.  Here is the view when you enter the park off Edgewater Drive -

The other day, I did a loan signing with a mortgage broker and Realtor present.  First, I brought out my Notorial Log and completed the information in it. Both said wow, they never saw a notary do that.  OK, it is not a Florida requirement, but it is foolish NOT to do this as a notary anywhere!  Then, since there are always Jurats in every mortgage package (OK, maybe not EVERY, but virtually every if not all - I can't recall a mortgage package that DIDN'T have one) I gave them an oath about perjury.  Both looked at each other and again … (12 comments)

Spring Lake Park & Boat ramp in Port Charlotte - 08/04/08 06:29 AM

At the corner of Edgewater Dr & Lakeview Blvd, there is a small park, better know for its' boat ramp.  But this park also offers small trails (you can see in the pictures) as well as a gazebo.  There are benches, so this is not only a place to launch a boat, but a terrific way to spend a little time outside enjoying nature!

Port Charlotte Beach Complex - 08/03/08 08:59 PM

At the end of Harbor Blvd in Port Charlotte, sits the Port Charlotte Beach Complex.  This complex has a lot to offer Port Charlotte residents.  Plenty of parking, several grills and covered as well as uncovered tables.  It has a small beach area, fishing pier, boat launch ramp, pool (yes a pool at the beach!!!) and a Recreation Hall where you can rent for weddings and parties - up to 332 people.
