This is the thermometer on my screened-in porch (in the shade) at about Noon today!I think we actually got up to 70 something by day end.SPEECHLESS...It is still January!!!
 

The sun was shining and it was an amazing day so I leashed up Basil & Bree Bree and we went for a long, long walk through the Village Parks.(Vince was on the golf course...I have a shoulder issue right now)
Basil couldn't help himself when we passed by the big red fire hydrant.Poor 'lil guy didn't learn how to raise his leg like a REAL BOY DOG.

On a trip to Cancun a couple of years ago, we took a trip to a nearby island and rented a golf cart.  We drove up into the hills to tour the neighborhoods and look at the houses (of course). The color of the houses were all inspired by the colors of the Caribbean.
This one caught my eye, because the Golf Cart Cover matches the color of the house.  I guess these folks really like to be color coordinated! The Colors Of Cancun!

I LOVE BRUNCH!!!  It's not breakfast, it's not lunch...it's BOTH presented in a delicious fashion.  Some restaurants choose to take the day off on Sunday's, but there are several others that are OPEN & READY to serve you an amazing Brunch.  I've dined at all the restaurants that I'm going to list here and I don't necessarily have a favorite.  They are all wonderful 'Local' establishments that are each unique unto themselves.  As a matter of fact, you should try them ALL!

During a trip to St. Kitts a few years ago, we signed up for an excursion into the Rain Forest in hopes of seeing some Green Monkey's in their natural habitat.  I'd already had a few encounters with them on the beach at our resort.They tried to steal my 'snacks' and my 'brightly colored sunglasses'.The antics and sneakiness of the Green Monkey's left me NOT SO Speechless!!!Although, I did find one 'NOT SO' Green Monkey that I could spend some time with on a hot Caribbean afternoon!
His name was 'Carib'.  Mascot of Carib Beer!!!

Just Because There Isn't A Sign In The Yard Doesn't Mean It's Not For Sale - 01/21/11 05:21 PM
The real estate sign restrictions in Pinehurst, NC are very strict and as a real estate agent we must abide by the rules and regulations set forth by the Village of Pinehurst.  Homeowners, who choose to try and sell their property on their own, must also abide by these rules and regulations.  Gated communities within Pinehurst do not allow 'For Sale' signs at all! 
But, if you're not in a gated community and it's a single family residence or a vacant building lot, then chances are you can use a 'For Sale' sign.

The Village of PINEHURST will soon make it easier for residents to recycle! 
Currently, us Pinehurst residents have to provide our own recycle containers, which we have to carry out to the street.  I don't know about you, but my recycling container can get very heavy!!!  As a matter of fact, I accumulate more recyclables than I do trash on a weekly basis.

Do you see my fax/phone in the upper right-hand corner?  I rarely receive faxes anymore, but when I do sometimes my 'Lovely Assistant' gets to them before I do and this is what happens.  Shreds of paper all over the office.  It is hilarious to watch...she can shred a piece of paper into a hundred pieces in a few seconds.  She's Quick!!!

About 5 years ago we went on a trip to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.  While we were there we signed up to go Whale Watching...of course, there was no guarantee that we would see a whale.  We were very lucky to come across a Mama Whale and her Baby!!!  Our Guide was soooo excited I thought he was going to fall off the boat!  It was an amazing experience & it left me SPEECHLESS!At one point the whale's came a bit too close to the boat for me (scary), but it is their ocean afterall.

I LOVE to bake!  So around the holiday season I usually bake hundreds of cookies and package them as gifts.  BUT, I decided to do something different this year.  NO Cookies!  Well, that's not entirely true...let me rephrase...NO People Cookies!
A 'Cooking For Dogs Cookbook' inspired me to bake homemade Dog Cookies for all the neighborhood pups.  You have to understand, we don't have children, so I consider our dogs, our children!  I cook for them all the time.

2010 Southern Pines Statistics | Single Family Residential & Horse Farms - 01/04/11 11:38 AM
Here are the 2009 & 2010 Market Snapshots for homes SOLD in Southern Pines.  These numbers include Single Family Residential and Horse Farms.  The DOM (Days on Market) are a little higher than you might expect because of the Horse Farms.  Typically, a Horse Farm will take longer to sell because the Buyer's Market for that product is considerably smaller than the Buyer's Market for Single Family Residential.  (Just a little common Horse Sense!)
