Illinois Salesperson on the Way Out - 04/09/10 11:15 PM
Two years ago the State of Illinois institiuted required courses for measuring the competence of those who hold the "Broker's License". It accomplished its objective - weed out those who should not be brokers. Surprise !!! Sme brokers took the optionT to go back to salesperson.
That was four years ago. Now Illinois Real Estate License Law, amended for January 2010, elininates the salesperson classification effective May 1, 2012. What do you think will happen to all those brokers who opted to become salespersons? Do you think they can go through broker licensing with flying colors?

Changes in Foreclosure for the Better - 04/09/10 10:41 PM
Those agents handling foreclosed properties know:
1.  Properties may be in poor condition.
2. Properties may be in move-in condition.
3. Properties need some repair sometimes, but not always.
4. Financed property sales can be headaches because lenders are gun shy about inheriting the property a year from the date of sale.
5. Owner occupants have a tough time being the successful bidder.
 
Number 5 is about to change - My clients have now informed me that no offers will be accepted for the first seven days giving the property more exposure to the market place.  From the eighth day … (0 comments)
