Peafowl Dilemma?!
Manor Forest a gated community in Boynton Beach is having a peafowl dilemma. The association is planning on removing a couple hundred peacock and peahens from their community. These Peafowl are believed to be escapees from nearby Orange groves that have since been torn down for construction of new houses. These peafowl have liked their new location and over the last couple of years have multiplied. The plan is to take down the old standard indoor  enclosed style mall and erect the new outdoor outlet style mall. There hoping to be opened in 2013. 30 puppies and 10 dogs are coming to South Florida today and Big Dog Ranch Rescue could use supplies an volunteers!
A shelter in Columbia S.C. shut down and these pups were planned to be euthanized, until Big Dog Ranch stepped in. A fundraiser to help out will be held at Saks Fifth Ave on Thursday from 6:30-9:00pm.
