Another Late Wordless Wednesday in September for Car Buffs - 09/28/11 11:58 PM
I hate to even show this here because only a very few were ever built, exactly 3 to my knowledge.  You have some beautiful lines and symetry in an American powered exotic which never came to fruition however what a fantastic vehicle it was.  A Peter Monteverdi masterpiece from 1970.  That's right it's a '70's vehicle which puts to shame almost everything that existed in it's day.  Hope you enjoy it!

There Was A Time When Condominiums Were "All the Rage", Today It's a Tad More Tough - 09/24/11 12:17 PM
Naples is essentially a Second Home market and we currently have just under 6,000 residences available.  Of that amount about 2,400 are Single Family Homes with the remainder being filled mostly with Condominiums or Towhhouses.  The latter tend to be popular because they are more easily managed while you're away.  The Associations generally make sure the exteriors are up to snuff and there are available services that look after the interiors while you're away.  This reminds me of the Ron Popeil method of "Set It and Forget It" when leaving for the off season.  Approximately 60% of our market is driven by Condominium Sales, therefore … (31 comments)

An Easy Way to Explain the Difference Between Median Price and Average Price, Sometimes the Disparity Can Be Huge. Here's a Naples, Florida Twofer For Ya! - 09/14/11 01:03 PM
What's the Difference between Median Price and Average Price.  Depending on what is being portrayed the use of these terms interchangeably will confuse the best of us.  Many times this is how the National media leaves the consumer with innaccurate information and in a sad and unnecessary state of FLUX!
Average Price is a lot easier to understand.  Add up every sale price for whatever time frame you're analyzing then divide it by the number of examples that led you to that figure and you've got the average.
Example:  We have Uncle Bill at 240, you at 67, Johnny at 63, Mary 56 … (21 comments)

Another Automotive Wordless Wednesday - More Power to YOU! - 09/14/11 12:17 AM

Sorry Guys, this is not a Hemi.  It is a 440 version though which held it's own well against the Chevelles, GTO's of the day.  It's remarkable that these were the Family Car also back then and might get the kids to school, get you out to do the food shopping and still manage to have the panache to make every 16 to 25 year old male either stop and stare or drool a little when it passed them by.  I can't think of a car today that can muster that type of response or sound so bad as one of … (15 comments)

Listings Come and Listings Go, It's the Nature of Things Here in Naples, Florida - 09/12/11 06:16 PM
An interesting perspective on how and when we conduct the most business in Naples.  You can see how we begin to "Gear Up" for the season right about now and this trend will continue until just before Thanksgiving.  There's a small hiatus through New Year and then the frenzy begins.  Our population more than triples then and the party never seems to end.  There are so many entertaining venues, know that you are going to miss some and must return again and again, year after year to fully experience the goings on here.

Amber Alert For a Missing 3 Year Old From Sparwood BC - 09/10/11 11:08 PM
BOLO - Be On The Lookout  Lord knows we've had our fair share of abductions here in Florida and it is with great concern that none of these perpetrators ever have the ability to fulfill their missions.  When children are involved the immediacy of the task at hand is paramount.  Any hint of knowledge or tiniest suspicion needs to be told immediately to local authorities.  I could never imagine waking up one day knowing that a proper report of the slightest information I've unwittingly suppressed or unknowingly withheld could spare the life or been a conduit to not have a victim's … (6 comments)

What was it he said again? Oh yeah, Pass This Bill. - 09/09/11 08:34 AM

I am becoming a Politicat and can't get enough of this guy.  I know I'm just a cat but being informed is the best thing I can do for now because I'm not yet allowed to vote.  When I'm 18 though lookout.  I've got to work on my math a little bit also but $450,000,000,000.00 sounds like a nice round number.  Does it to you?

How High Do You Have To Be Before It Starts to Really Feel Good? - 09/05/11 12:46 PM
There are times when you feel that you're really on the edge. No one else you know is looking at your surroundings quite the same way as you do. The weakness you initially felt in your knees is slowly dissipating. A 360 degree spin sends you into a slight euphoric state. What is going on? Are you still in control? Yes, everything is good in your life, you've just moved from terra firma at ground level to the elevated atmosphere of High Rise living. These buildings have at least 8 stories as a minimum to even begin to be called "High … (13 comments)
