Hard Water / Well Water ~ ** Add a Water Softener ** - 08/31/08 05:12 AM

Hard Water/ Well Water?  Add a Water Softener:
Water from wells contain dissolved chemical elements - calcium and magnesium cause water to be hard.  Water containing 7 or more grains of these elements per gallon is considered hard.  Hard water can cause problems - when the water is heated these elements seperate and begin to form a scale on the inside of pipes and hot water heaters.  It also interfers with the cleaning action of soaps.  Soft water will get your clothes a lot cleaner.
Soft water eliminates mineral deposits commonly found in toilet bowls and on plumbing fixtures.  Just … (0 comments)

I'm going through my eMails and here's a new one - it's an agent sending me their listing (1.2MB) with a photo and full discription and a note that it's been reduced! " Serenity Now !!!"  Fellow agents: please consider - What if everyone did this? I'd probably receive 20-25 emails a day.  In Frederick, MD there are over 2000 active listings and I am well aware of all the listings in my client's price range and locations including price reductions, etc..  If we have clients looking for your particular house, we will find it - all by ourselves.  I … (13 comments)

First Time Buyer in Hagerstown, Washington County, Maryland? - 08/23/08 10:12 PM
First Time Buyer in Hagerstown, Washington County, Maryland?
What do you do first?  Select a Realtor - someone who will help guide you through the entire process step-by-step.
Next: Speak with a Loan Officer; your Realtor can help you with selecting one or you can do it on your own.  My advice is to pick someone local.  You'll have to decide how much you plan on for a down payment and what kind of monthly payment you'd be comfortable with.  Based on your circumstances, your Loan Officer will tell you what your best options are for purchasing a home. They'll also … (0 comments)

Thinking Of Buying or Selling in Washington County, Maryland ??? - 08/11/08 09:18 PM
There are currently 1,448 active listings in Washington County.  In a good market, there are about 800.  It's all about supply and demand.  If you plan on selling your house, you need to be the "Best in the Neighborhood" or it simply will not sell - there's just too many to choose from.  It needs to be priced aggressively, and cannot have any obvious negatives; you'll need to find an honest Realtor - not one that will tell you what you want to hear, but someone that will look at your house objectfully and tell you truthfully what you need to do to … (0 comments)
