Vacant Staging: When A Room Is Kept Empty, Buyers Focus On Negative Details - 08/21/11 11:24 PM
Can you imagine a brand new Mercedes without a paint job? Do you think people would notice the beautiful car or the missing paint? It's so much easier to notice that crack in the wall, or the chip in the tile when there is nothing else to focus on. Home Staging capitalizes on the positive aspects of a home, while de-emphasizing the negative aspects in order to position a home to make an emotional connection with the buyers. Without Furniture, There Is No Frame Of Reference How big is the room? Without furniture it's incredibly difficult to tell the scale and size

Have a Challenge picking paint colors?? - 08/15/11 11:28 PM
Here are a couple of tips that help me... Get the undertones right. Distinguish the undertones in countertops and flooring. This dictates which base color will look best in your home. Choose your furniture and bedding first. It's way easier to find a color to go with bedding or a sofa than it is is to find bedding and a sofa to go with a $30 gallon of paint. Create flow. Creating flow can be done in several ways. Take one color throught the house (easy). Take one color and go from light to dark (second easiest). Choose different colors that work harmoniously together
