May 30, 2008 - We are in a Buyer's Market in Seven Lakes, NC...houses are priced to sell and there are quite a few homes to choose from. Another asset we have going for our market is our property taxes and taxing on retirement (NC)....Moore County is quite attractive!!!! I am Southern, born and bred. I grew up in Raleigh, North Carolina, graduated from NCSU (Go Pack!) and do not plan to live anywhere else (Seven Lakes, Pinehurst Area, that is). Being Southern is a gift and many who move here do so because of our Southern ways. You can't really move here and become Southern...as I said, you have to be born into it. Many joke about being Southern. We enjoy the roses...that is, we take things at a slower pace (another way to interpret "slow" is...we have patience). Yes, I am detailed oriented and want to help you find a home as soon as possible, but I also will pay attention to your wants and needs. Southerners will listen to you and enjoy getting to know you. When you visit our community, everyone waves. Yes, we are that friendly...we want you to know that you are welcome here. Our Southern "speak" is what some term the most humorous...we may say "bless your heart" five or six times in a conversation. If we say "kiss my grits"...we are not very happy with you.

I can cook Southern. While I enjoy other culinary experiences, it's the Southern comfort food that I most enjoy sharing with my family and friends. Fried green tomatoes, squash casserole, baby back ribs....oh, I can cook collards, too. My daughter loves my homemade chicken salad (has great stuff in it...roasted pecans, grapes, celery, and more).
