Seems like the data shows that July had a major down turn for sales transactions....How have your sales looked for September?  We seem to be seeing a little jump in demand for moving services for October moves.

Whats the longest active listing that you finally sold - 09/08/10 06:58 AM
I am not a real estate agent but am involved with the relocation industry as an Atlanta moving company.  Most not all of our customers are moving from a residence they sold to a new residence.  When I do on site relocation estimates for the upcoming move I always ask "how long did it take to sell your home"?  Just curious to hear from the real estate pros what is the longest continual listing (one that you kept even if you had to update the listing agreement) that you actually then were able to sell?

Any one use a google places/maps seo company that they have had good luck with (i.e. moved an existing business up to page one with out it getting banned)?  I have covered the basics plus some.  My listing used to me number one for  Atlanta movers for more than a year but through the changes google has made to there algorithm I have drooped to the second page.

What will the rest 2010 moving season look like? - 09/07/10 03:08 PM
2009 was a down year over all for most moving companies with some in the media declaring a depression for relocation.  2010 will be a hard year to predict.  Will the moving market stay in the dull drums or will this be the year that housing prices and low-interest rates finally get folks off the fence and into new homes?  Or will 2010 be the year that many home owners were forced to stay in the home they own because they owned more than it is currently worth or they are unable to sell because the other comps they are competing … (1 comments)

Ok Atlanta summer moving season is upon us and moving is in full swing. The good news is the moving season has heated up…the bad news is the summer moving is heated up. Man it is hot outside. All kidding aside when you move during the summer you and or your movers need to take extra precautions to deal with the heat and glaring sun. First make sure you eat a balanced meal the morning of the move. Second make sure to realize that moving is a marathon not a sprint. Well Atlanta we can almost call the summer of 2010 moving and relocation season over.  Soon the overly hot days will start to cool off.  The days will darken earlier in the day.  And foot ball will begin (no not that preseason NFL stuff) the real foot ball SEC.

I have to say it I am a Gator fan trapped in Alanta GA :) Boy did we (the Florida Gators) look awful this past weekend.  We won but it was almost more painful as a victory than as a loss. Florida just had a really tuff time moving the ball.  How did your team play?
