moving: Moving in Atlanta's 2011 winter storm - 01/13/11 12:56 AM
Atlanta feels more like Ohio these days than Georgia.  We went to sleep Sunday night with all well in Atlanta and woke up Monday morning in the North Pole.
In addition to the many issues the snow and ice have caused for others Movers have there share of head aches. If you are scheduled to move this week make sure to call your movers to make sure your move can be completed as scheduled.  A few issues to keep in mind:
1.) Can the movers safely get to your residence? If the roads to your residence are not clear you need … (4 comments)

moving: What is the real estate outlook for Atlanta 2011 - 01/06/11 03:27 AM
I frequent these forums as an Atlanta moving professional to learn what I can about the ever changing housing market.  I know many of your real estate firms provide in depth economic information and forecasting.  What do the experts think about our Atlanta market for 2011?  More of the same?  Slight up tick?  Farther down turn (if that is possible)?

moving: What city would you move too if you had no restrictions? - 10/01/10 07:58 AM
Light Friday afternoon topic:  If finances, work, family were not a major concern what city would you move to?  I go back and forth between relocating to the beach or movingout of the country to Paris or the French Riviera.  Not that we are in the process of packing boxes and hitting the road but it is good to dream a Little!

moving: Whats the longest active listing that you finally sold - 09/07/10 11:58 PM
I am not a real estate agent but am involved with the relocation industry as an Atlanta moving company.  Most not all of our customers are moving from a residence they sold to a new residence.  When I do on site relocation estimates for the upcoming move I always ask "how long did it take to sell your home"?  Just curious to hear from the real estate pros what is the longest continual listing (one that you kept even if you had to update the listing agreement) that you actually then were able to sell?

moving: What will the rest 2010 moving season look like? - 09/07/10 08:08 AM
2009 was a down year over all for most moving companies with some in the media declaring a depression for relocation.  2010 will be a hard year to predict.  Will the moving market stay in the dull drums or will this be the year that housing prices and low-interest rates finally get folks off the fence and into new homes?  Or will 2010 be the year that many home owners were forced to stay in the home they own because they owned more than it is currently worth or they are unable to sell because the other comps they are competing … (1 comments)

moving: Atlanta moving season - 09/07/10 06:35 AM
Ok Atlanta summer moving season is upon us and moving is in full swing. The good news is the moving season has heated up…the bad news is the summer moving is heated up. Man it is hot outside. All kidding aside when you move during the summer you and or your movers need to take extra precautions to deal with the heat and glaring sun. First make sure you eat a balanced meal the morning of the move. Second make sure to realize that moving is a marathon not a sprint. If you start running around thinking you will get the … (1 comments)

moving: Atlanta movers Article on moving insurance/ valuation coverage - 08/30/10 10:20 AM
As a leading Atlanta Moving company we get allot of questions and confusion relating to Moving and insurance and what if anything is covered by a mover during a professional move.  I wrote a three part article on Buzzle to help customers and relocation industry related professionals understand what is and is not covered during a move.  The information in this article is for moves starting and stopping in Georgia.  Each state has it's own regulations and when moves cross state lines then federal rules kick in.
Part one of the Article:
