A Letter to EXIT Realty CEO Steve Morris from Convention Grand Prize Winner Pierre Kennel

Pierre Kennel, a real estate rookie with EXIT Exceptional Realty in Austin, TX went home $100,000 richer after winning the Grand Prize at the Gala President's Ball finale to EXIT Realty Corp. International's 10th Annual Convention held recently at the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center in Nashville, TN. In a letter to EXIT Realty Founder and CEO, Steve Morris, Kennel describes his belief in the creative visualization that brought his good fortune to fruition. Here's an excerpt from that letter:

"One year ago I was jobless; I had no idea why the bad things in my life were happening. I was focusing all of my energy on the negative things in my life, thus creating more of them. I am blessed with a mother who never gave up on me, always saw the good, and believed I had, in her words "tremendous potential". She recommended I go to school and get my real estate license and as soon as I started classes I knew this was what I needed to be doing. I was passionate for the opportunity to help other people, which is what this business is at the core.

"The Law of Attraction is a very powerful and very real thing. Across from my desk was one of the banners promoting the '08 Convention. At the bottom it said, "$100,000 drawing". I sat at my desk every day and visualized winning the money. I included every detail I could think of from what I thought the experience would include. Each morning I got up and the first thing I did was write affirmations. It is amazing the joy it has brought into my life.

"I took a very clear picture of what was painted in my mind to the Convention, and although very excited to hear my name called, I was not surprised because I had already won in my mind. Our Woodlands office sustained extensive damage. We are relocating to our Tomball office until it get fixed.

I flew over Sescape Condos in Galveston on Thursday 18 September 2008 and took some pictures. Flew on a Cessn 330 Twin Engine beauty from Hooks, Compliments of one of my agents, Ms Birmingham who just joined our team from Re/Max. The median 1 bedroom price is $124,000 and for a 2 bedroom is $227,000. Damage sustained throughout complex. Estimated date for reoccupancy is November 30, 2008.

Prices are low but as we have seen in Orange Beach, FL and in Gulf Shores, AL......Investors and developers and increased $$$$ rebuilding pressures price index in the community.

Habitat for Humanity

Since the fall of 2006, EXIT Realty Corp. International has been the proud Corporate Sponsor of four more new homes for Habitat for Humanity. On September 22, 2006 we kicked off our 4th corporate build in Reading, MA and on June 23, 2007 we dedicated this 3 bedroom home to the Dion Family; Tanya, Joe and their two young sons.

On November 11, 2006 we launched our 5th corporate build in Covington. LA. This, and the following two builds, were part of Habitat for Humanity's project,"Operation Home Delivery ", a recovery program to aid the victims of Hurricane Katrina plus the hurricanes that followed - the worst hurricane

devastation to hit the southern coastal states in US history. When Habitat put out a call for help to all of its corporate sponsors, EXIT Realty Corp. International responded. We dedicated our entire 2005 donation of $250,000 to support this initiative. We dedicated our 5th home on April 21, 2007 to Jarvia Robinson and her two children.

On February 9, 2007 we kicked off our 6th and 7th corporate builds next door to each other in a brand new subdivision of 34 Habitat homes in Irvington, AL. These homes were dedicated on June 25, 2007 and Jean McMillen is one of the new home owners. After raising her daughter on her own, this is the first home she has ever owned.

All of our families came from substandard or destroyed housing prior to becoming owners of Habitat for Humanity homes. Each family had to qualify to meet the rigorous standards set by Habitat, including helping to build other Habitat Homes and qualifying financially to meet minimum mortgage repayments.

Cindy Szinegh, EXIT Realty's Vice President of Corporate Services says, "It humbles and inspires us to work with an organization like Habitat for Humanity. We not only get the opportunity to give money but to actually be there to assist in the building of these homes, to meet and to get to know these families, to give our sweat and our souls to those that want 'a hand up' not 'a hand out'. Habitat for Humanity really reflects what EXIT is all about....HEART."
