tips: Some tips on an inexpensive home upgrade whether your selling or not - 08/13/14 08:46 AM
:
Landscaping is by far one of the best home investments you can make. A well-placed tree or flower bed  will increase resale value. For under $100, you will find a wide selection of quality nursery stock and plant them yourself for free! I would recommend planning it out in advance for maximum effect!
If you like, you can play with some of the gardening software that's out there and get an idea of what your work will look like before you touch a shovel too.
A perennial garden will bloom every year, any permanent landscape fixture can add value to your home. If you … (4 comments)

tips: ♫ to my ears...look out buyers>>>>>>Selling Your Home - 09/07/11 06:10 AM
 Detach yourself emotionally
Buying real estate is an emotional decision, but the opposite needs to be true for selling real estate. Emotions can get in the way of selling your property. The more attached you are, the harder it will be to convince a potential buyer to see themselves as the new homeowner. Try to get used to the idea that the home will no longer be yours. Think of it as a product to be sold. Visit every room and say "good-bye." Visualize yourself handing over the keys.
First impressionOutside: Curb appeal can create a good first impression. Cut the … (1 comments)

tips: Is the Real Estate market cjanging or is the media not telling the whole truth? - 09/18/10 02:49 AM
I was reading a report and it was mentioning the states most effected by foreclosure and the were rambling off things like 1 out of 84 homes in Las Vegas was FORECLOSED ON!!!
This being said people need to realize that these are actually old statistics. It takes in NJ around 1 year to 2 years of not paying your mortgage before the sheriff comes knocking on your door.
In another 2 years I believe that these stats will not change . Id like to see how many LIZ PENDENS are filed every month....now that's a real time statistic. The stuff … (4 comments)

tips: What To Look For When Buying A New Camera - 12/03/08 12:32 AM

Like all things technology related, digital cameras get better and cost less every year. If your camera is 3+ years old you should consider replacing it with a new one. There are a variety of small, easy-to-use, high quality cameras in the $300 -$400 price range that will take great real estate photos.
Things to consider:
Megapixels - Contrary to popular belief, more megapixels does not mean better pictures. It just means that you will have the ability to create larger pictures (like 8X10 or larger) at full density - hardly a necessity for most real estate photos. While most cameras … (3 comments)

tips: Cooking your Thanksgiving Day Bird - 11/17/08 05:47 AM

The USDA has issued new guidelines for roasting whole turkeys. These changes were based on a study conducted by the University of Georgia, which showed that the existing USDA cooking times were longer than needed to assure safety and doneness. The data supported reductions of 15 minutes to one hour, depending on the size of the bird.
The USDA has come up with a one-temperature-suits-all for poultry safety: 165 degrees F. For safety and doneness, the internal temperature should be checked with a meat thermometer.
It appears that "timing's NOT everything." Recommended cooking techniques must also be followed. A meat … (2 comments)

tips: Cleaning a Flat-screen TV - 11/05/08 04:29 AM

By now, your new flat-screen TV has probably become verry dirty. But don't be tempted to use the same methods you would to clean your tube TV. Flat-screen television sets require more specialized care. Here are a few tips to keep in mind if you want to take ggod care of your Flat screen TV:- Don't use strong chemical cleaners like alcohol, ammonia-based cleaners or window cleaners. They can damage the screen's special coating.- Don't spray a liquid cleaner on the screen, as it can leak into the TV casing and damage the circuitry.- Never use paper towels or newspapers to wipe of the … (1 comments)
