Dorm Living or House with Room Mates - 07/28/09 11:05 AM
Its just around the corner, time to send your high school grad off to college. My Assistant, Lora has sent two off to college, one out of state, back home to Texas State and one to A&M. WHOOP!!  And she will tell you that the cost of housing that student is actually more then the college itself.  Her answer to that was to buy a little house in the area of the college and put some room mates in there with her student. This help offset the house payment and helped with tax benefits.

Do you feel like you have moved to Arizona and brought the humidity with you.  How many days of 100 degree weather can we stand! 
Does your yard look like a wasteland where it used to be a tropical paradise. Well that may be some of the problem.  We just love those tropical plants and grass in South Texas, but it might be time for us to really start looking into xeriscaping.  The thought of rocks and cactus is not very appealing, I admit, but that is not what you really have to do here.  Think about minimizing your turf grass … (4 comments)
