Fall Harvest Has Arrived

Debbie and I went to the local pumpkin patch to enjoy the colors of Fall and hand pick pumpkins for decorations.
We came away with a load of pumpkins, gourds and corn.  Debbie flew into her annual Fall decorating mode and now when you come to our home you'll see the colors of Fall harvest.

fall: When Do Fall Leaves Peak In New Mexico? - 09/26/13 03:36 AM
When Do Fall Leaves Peak In New Mexico?

Weather in New Mexico varies due to altitude so the fall leaves change and peak at different times in our state.

In Northern New Mexico the leaves normally peak the first of October.  In and around the Albuquerque area we enjoy fall peaking color from the second and third week of October.  For Southern Albuquerque down around Carlsbad that area of NM normally see’s fall peak color the end of October into the first of November.

You can always call the NM National Forest Service if you … (34 comments)

fall: Albuquerque's Bosque In Gold - 10/24/12 11:44 PM
Albuquerque's Bosque In Gold
Fall is certainly in the air and nothing is prettier than the turning leaves as they shimmy in the sun and afternoon breeze.  Here in Albuquerque the Bosque (Cottonwood Forest along the Rio Grande) is in full color and commanded a walk with Debbie, Dixie and I to take in the Bosque In Gold.  Take a few moments to enjoy the vibrant colors the Albuquerque Bosque shares.

fall: Window of Color to the Sandia Mountains - 10/24/12 07:48 AM
This past weekend my wife and I enjoyed a stroll through the Albuquerque Bosque (Cottonwood Forest) at the peak of her colors.  The sky was a deep blue and the leaves a brilliant gold.  The sounds of the leafy crunch and the aging Rio Grande wondering by were mesmerizing.  We know Albuquerque Inside and Out!  Give us call with you're real estate needs.  We're Albuquerque Homes Realty at www.AlbuquerqueHomes.com.

There is no doubt from the east to the west Fall is in the air.  Just look around you’ll see it too.  As Debbie and I drove across the country the past couple of weeks colorful Fall decorations are everywhere.  This photo was taken in front of a beautiful Southern home.

fall: November Changes In Albuquerque - 11/02/11 07:49 AM
November Changes In Albuquerque The beautiful colors along the Rio Grande are quickly fading from a brilliant golden hue.  As November winds blow in cooler temperatures the leaves on the old Cottonwood trees fade and begin their fall, leaving the ground covered in a carpet of golden color.  The Salt Cedar growing along the rivers edge is changing from a darker golden color to a beautiful red which it will retain till spring.  The many ducks, geese and cranes are now migrating to warmer climates.  Soon the Sandia Mountain will wear a cap of white snow and the river will be … (25 comments)

fall: Cottonwood Trees Spanning 160 Miles Along The Rio Grande - 10/25/11 08:43 AM
Cottonwood Trees Spanning 160 Miles Along The Rio GrandeMany people think of color in the high desert of Albuquerque NM as non-existent.  Not so and here is a photo to prove the fact.  Albuquerque’s  Cottonwood trees are easily spotted with some reaching 80 ft high and ranging in age from 40-80 years.  Cottonwood trees run an amazing 160 mile span along the mighty Rio Grande River or (Bosque).  Cottonwood trees require a huge amount of water to grow this is the reason they thrive so well along the Rio Grande. When fall roll around the Cottonwood trees change from a full … (11 comments)

Fall Roses In Albuquerque
The Double Delight roses in our Albuquerque backyard are in full bloom for the last time this growing season. October will end the growing season due to much cooler nights and shorter days.  Soon the beautiful blooms will be gone and the roses will fall into winters sleep. fall: Make Your Real Estate Dreams A Reality - 10/19/11 09:31 AM
Make Your Real Estate Dreams A Reality

While hiking the Albuquerque Bosque we couldn’t help notice the flurry of activity by the animals and birds.  All were quite busy stocking up and storing up their homes for the winter months ahead.  Maybe we should take a hint from Mother Nature.  Buyers should consider getting off the proverbial fence and prepare for your home purchase.  If you’ve been thinking of buying an Albuquerque home lets find out what you’re looking for and get you moved in before the cold months of winter are upon us?  Fall is the perfect time of year to make your real … (12 comments)

fall: Fall Color Along Albuquerque’s Rio Grande - 10/18/11 10:57 AM
Fall Color Along Albuquerque’s Rio Grande
The fall color along Albuquerque’s Rio Grande is quiet spectacular.  As the end of October approaches the wise old Cottonwood trees that line the Rio Grande  (woods along the river) really shine with their golden color.  The Duck, Crain and Geese begin their migration and the Bosque is filled with the business of Mother Nature preparing for a winter along Albuquerque’s Rio Grande.

fall: Brilliant Albuquerque Fall Colors - 10/17/11 09:50 AM
Brilliant Albuquerque fall colors are here.  We were concerned as the year has been quite dry but Mother Nature has blessed us with beautiful changing colors.  The winds will soon be stripping the colorful leaves from the trees.  If we are lucky snow will hang on the trees instead of leaves and once again have the Rio Grande River flowing strong.  Until then we will enjoy the changing colors of Aspens, Cottonwoods and Maple trees along with our comfortable temperatures that the Albuquerque area is blessed with.

If you’re considering the sale or purchase of an Albuquerque or Rio Rancho … (16 comments)

fall: Fall is a great time to invite Mr. Clean to your Albuquerque home - 10/14/11 02:01 AM
Fall is a great time to invite Mr. Clean to your Albuquerque home for sale. Just because the trees are not green and the flowers not happily blooming it's no reason your home shouldn't show well.  Buyers understand your New Mexico home curb appeal isn't going to be drop dead gorgeous during the fall and winter season they get it.  However showing your Albuquerque home in it's best light should still be priority one.  So take advantage of the fall season to clean up the place up and get it looking great.Consider trimming back those trees and bushes, rake loose leaves … (18 comments)

fall: A Picture Is Worth A Thousand Words - 10/05/11 09:47 AM
If a picture is worth a thousand words then the photos posted below should be all you need to prove fall is indeed in the air!  The brilliant colors of golden Aspens even made our skin glow as we hiked up, down and around the rocks, lakes and waterfall. An October snow covered the mountaintop at Marroon Bells on the outskirts of Aspen Colorado.
