Cottonwood Trees Spanning 160 Miles Along The Rio GrandeMany people think of color in the high desert of Albuquerque NM as non-existent.  Not so and here is a photo to prove the fact.  Albuquerque’s  Cottonwood trees are easily spotted with some reaching 80 ft high and ranging in age from 40-80 years.  Cottonwood trees run an amazing 160 mile span along the mighty Rio Grande River or (Bosque).  Cottonwood trees require a huge amount of water to grow this is the reason they thrive so well along the Rio Grande. Albuquerque Goose  
While walking along the Rio Grande River Bosque in Albuquerque we spotted this large beautiful Goose.  He watched us watching him then puffed out his chest then opened and flapped his wings as if to warn us that a camera shot would be tolerated but that was the extent of his patience.

Odd Beauty Found At Albuquerque’s Bosque  
While hiking the along the banks of Rio Grande River or “Bosque” we found some odd yet very cool mushrooms.  My wife and I have no clue what the scientific names of these intriguing mushrooms are but we are for sure they are beautiful and thought they were picture worthy.  One just never knows when striking out on a hike along the Albuquerque Bosque what will be found on the path.
