Will Dodd-Frank Bill Kill the Housing Recovery? - 05/11/11 09:56 AM
In recent weeks, the details about last July's Dodd-Frank Wall Street reform and Consumer Protection act have started to roll out, and it's not a pretty picture. Of course, I guess that's pretty fitting seeing as the bill is named two of most unattractive people in Congress, Barney Frank and Chris Dodd.
At the risk of simply regurgitating an old stale point, we would like to point out that it's a little hypocritical to have this bill constructed by the 2 men who FELL ASLEEP AT THE WHEEL while they were in charge of the house finance and senate banking committees, … (2 comments)

Delinquent Homeowners Getting Duped by Bank's "Dual Tracking" - 05/04/11 10:55 AM
Those of us who deal with distressed homeowners on a daily basis already know that banks are oftentimes tough to deal with, but a recent article in the LA Times has shined a spotlight on a practice that is facing new scrutiny by the U.S. Government.  When dealing with borrowers that are delinquent on their loans, banks oftentimes will continue the foreclosure process, even while the homeowner is attempting a loan modification.  Banks refer to this nifty strategy as "dual-tracking", but troubled homeowners feel like it's nothing more than a double-cross.  Oftentimes borrowers are lulled to sleep a little by banks … (0 comments)
